Feel anything pop? Was that the end of your workout or did you just keep going after you did it? If it doesnt feel any better or is worse 2morrow go to the hospital.

Squat heavy.

any prior diagnose? Get one, if not. You're back is the very last thing you want to F with and ignore. Sleep on your back or on your side with a pillow inbetween your knees.

is it your lower back?and is it slightly to one side or the other?....if you lay flat on your back can you lift each leg in the air?If not your screwed....start your bucket list....

Ice for 20 minutes every hour if you can. Take some alieve or ibuprofen. Sleeping with the pillow between you legs on your side or under your knees if on your back. If pain persist, go to a DR or chiro and usually they can give you some stretches and exercises to rehab it. I have some I do before I squat. I have been through this a few times. I also do light hypers now everyother workout to keep the stabilizers strong and everything tight. It helps me anyway.

Rest for a day, then get moving. One of the worst things you can do is sit around keeping it immobile

Part of the new Obama healthcare plan is to consult message board veterans on injuries before seeing a physician.
I would rest, massage, and just give it time. I had never been injured in my life until this year, biceps tendon/shoulder RC. It really took 3 weeks of zero use and some massage therapy to get better.

dont deadlift heavy from the front
try deadlifts with the barbell behined the back or trap bar deadlifts to avoid unneccessarily destroying your lower back

My shoulders radiated pain and I had numbness in my arms and elbows when I fucked my neck up. I must have just pulled something. It went away. I will try to avoid this happening again.

I get occasional upper back spasms when overtrained, doesn't even need backwork although it contributes. I eat solid (plenty mid-low GI carb), sleep well, and take pain killers at 2-3x the recommended dose for a day or 2. My prob is not skeletal tho as far as I know, never been to a doc since it's so infrequent.

LOTS of Advil and don't drink any water.
-
I'd say stick to a 100lbs or less, a plate a side seems to of been to much for you
-
Ice.
This is correct. NO heat. I repeat, NO heat. Heat will only keep the inflammation in the area.
ICE.
Trust me.. and stay on the couch.
