I'd say this one below but it's not really a book about bodybuilding. More about some guy who took a whole heap of Acid and imagined some shit happening then wrote down the bullshit and tried to piece it together.

I've never had the "pleasure" of reading that one but I remember it was advertised all over musclemag in the 80's...by Denie (sp?) who wrote for them at the time

::) why?

I thought it would be ok. It was a joke, just him whining about how he was hard done by and how he wasn't really an asshole all those years and now how he's a 'drug free' bodybuilder and everyone on roids will die.

A good one is 'Muscle' by Sam Fussel.

Yes "Muslce..." by Sam Fussel is a great read and a must for every bodybuilder. Funny as hell and will help give you perspective on the bodybuilding industry.

yes

another great one is the one called 'Muscle' as well by John Hottam? Who follows the bodybuilding scene around in 2002 and 2003.

I haven't read the one 'Arnold & Me' but i thought it would be pretty good.

For books based on "non-fiction" books, Flex's is surely it!!!
Fiction books I don't really read, if they're BBing books. Completely gay in the first place!

Flex's books was just made up of lies...and over at MD, his lies continue. And how he covers them up and/or backtracks is even worse.

Flex is the epitome of BBing.

Has anybody read The Ultimate Physique:Bodybuilding with Mr. World by Bill Richardson?

And Flex's book gave insight into his mind, what made him tick. I didn't buy it thinking it would talk about his cycles or his competitions, I knew it wasn't going to be that. Anybody who bought that book thinking otherwise, well is a fool, and a fool and his money are soon parted. Which is why some people are disappointed. They felt fooled, when in reality they fooled themselves.

And that Goodrum "Dummies" book Photoshop was halarious.

He said in an interview with MM that his book would be out in a few months and he would talk about what happened with those 'ninja's at the 1997 Olympia prep.

No mention. At all. C'mon.....

I hardly bought the book thinking he would list his cycles. I'm in agreement with you about the "fool and his money are soon parted" comment, but I picked up the book just to see what insight he could give on anything. His life, lifting, public reaction to looking like a freak, whatever. But what I read seemed far more like a book of lies than anything.
Flex has always been a liar, and if you look at his history, you can see that.

I picked the book up in B&N, browsed thru it, put it back. The next day it was gone. I ordered it. Knowing Flex I was not disappointed that those topics were not added, although it would have been nice. I think it was more about the revelation of his retirement, illness, and abuse.

As far as Flex Ninja story, I remember him saying that in Musclemag, but that has been hashed about so much, that it was no included in the book. Plus he already admitted that he wasn't in shape for the O smashed his fist, made up a story, and the rest is history.

I guess I bought the book for diff reasons than everybody else. And it served my objective.

As long as you've followed him most of his life and KNOW the truth, the book is a bit entertaining.   Like his mped ride down hill...lmao!!!!!!!...and him wanting to "borrow" his sisters hand gun   etc  etc.   I believe Kenny is FOS at times   but like I said if you know he's lying   it becomes entertaining!!!
