I have been using saunas for some time and love them but I am interested in knowing what exactly you benefit and what are the negatives? For example i have read they help your body eliminate heavy metals, keep sodium in check, increase mico circulation etc. They may also raise cortisol and can adversely affect your heart. What's the truth here? Typically I do 15 min before cardio and 15 min after. Seems very relaxing and sweating should be healthy I would think.

That's weird I remember Don Long and Flex Wheeler both saying the sauna helped a lot when they had kidney problems? Would the extra heat and oxygen in your blood assist fat burning?
