Title: BLOCK or anyone- Throw in your 2cents
Post by: Devon97 on December 24, 2009, 08:23:53 AM
I was at a Pro bodybuilding show earlier this year out in Cali. THe show also had an NPC division.

I was there to see a friend who was competing.

I noticed something that 95% of all the guys in the audience had in common, besides their obvious drug dependency.

Their attire!

A graphic Tee

Designer jeans

and one of those silly watches with a HYOUGE face.

Block or anyone - is this the "trendy" thing for the outcast in the bodybuilding community to partake in?

Any guy wearing designer jeans is a fag.  Not necessarily gay, mind you, but definitely a fag.

Any guy wearing an attention-seeking graphic tee is a fag.  Period.

Subtle graphic tees may be acceptable, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis.

I haven't seen the watches you speak of, but watches, in general, are making a fashion comeback, even though everyone has a cell phone with the time right there on it.

Someone posted a pic on here of Bob Chick wearing a watch like that with a HYOUGE face on it.

This is common atire for the bodybuiling, mma, wannabe and fitness crowd. I have gone to a few UFC fights and it seemed like everyone was wearing the same uniform. An affiliction shirt and designer jeans.

From this post I'm guessing you were some 150lb skinny little schmoe hiding in the back with 10 year old walmart clothes

Good post. I don't know about the "fag" label, I'm thinking more along the lines of "tools". Wearing something (in this case, douche bag uniform) because everyone else is, and you're trying so hard to fit in, makes you a fucking tool.

nothing wrong with graphic tee's...but some of them are just way over done and just for attention seeking....if you wear one everyday there might be a problem.

..as for jeans?...i buy 4 pairs of jeans a year...same thing everytime...i go to express..and get the "blake cut"...i got a pair as a gift a few years ago, and they have proved themselves to be damn near industructable... they are designer jeans but thats NOT why i buy them.

as far as watches go?.....they are for old men, and young gay "attention whores"

I speak about this all the time. I know exactly what you speak of. At every single bodybuilding show you have 9 out of 10 guys all dressed exactly like the douchebags we see on 'Jersey Shore'.

Graphic tee's. Tight designer jeans. Repeat over and over again.

Nothing screams "Hey- I'm just like everybody els I have no brain or originality or creativity like a man at a bodybuilding show in a graphic t and tight designer jeans frsh out of the tanning bed with shaven forearms all holding their breathe while walking trying topush maximum density."

Then again I shouldn't talk. I wear 4-x white t's and white Air Fore 1's 24-7-365 and 9 out of 10 x's I have a wad of Skoal Wintergreen in my grills.

This is one of the many reason why my bitterness and distaste for bodybuilding and it's sub-culture burns my hairy pimply ass so much. The fashion victims and followers.

Hahaha... I wouldn't even say most bodybuilders are even in DEBT as we know it. Usually you have to have credit to have DEBT and we all know that 9.9 out of 10 bodybuilders do NOT have any credit or bad credit so to say they are "in debt" is not exactly accurate.

I would say they used the profits they made flippin their gear and pills to buy their 'outfit' for whatever No-Name Local NPC show was on the calendar.

We all know that majority of the competitors who engage in the NPC shows as spectators  in 'bulk mode' for whichever show later in the year or on stage have no job and are totally unemployed. It's true. Very true. So they flip gear and pills (vicodin, oxies etc...) to give them enough to buy their Hollister jeans and 'Monarchy' t-shirts. Or they mooch off of a gullible naive woman who will use HER credit card to buy them their 'outfit'.

If you went to the Manhattan Beach location, at least you saw one seriously fine piece of ass in the process of your girlfriend feminizing you.  (and no, this does not mean that I have ever been there - as I have no desire to ever own a pair of $300 homo jeans or to shop in such an establishment.  I just know a person that works there)
