Which is funnier? I think Superbad by a mile but some people I talk to thing the Hangover was the funniest move in the world. I thought it was amusing but nothing special.
-
The Hangover by a mile. It's not even close.
The taser scene alone is worth seeing the movie.
-
Super Bad is the funniest movie i seen since the original Friday movie
-
Hangover was the most overrated movie in recent memory.
-
Superbad
-
Hangover was the most overrated movie in recent memory.
Agree. Saw it over the holidays. I kept waiting for the laughs...and nothing. I did smile at the "here's your car, officers" line, tho.
-
I enjoyed The Hangover more. Jonah Hill is funny as fuck in Superbad but the whole McLovin/Seth Rogen subplot was lame as Shit unless you're 15 years old.
If you're under 25, you probably prefer Superbad. If you're over 30, and understand the need to escape married life, you probably prefer Hangover.
Plus, most people probably missed the polaroids sequence at the end of The hangover, which was hilarious.
-
Easily Superbad. I liked The Hangover but i laughed way more watching superbad. That movie is pure gold.
good times...good times
-
Superbad............" I got a boner" ;D
-

X2
From what I heard about it before I saw it I thought it would be way funnier.
Superbad ftw.
-
Superbad
-
Superbad by a mile. I think a lot more people (dudes) can relate to the characters in superbad rather than the hangover.
the asian guy in the hangover was pure gold, as was galifanakis, but i can't really quote too many memorable lines from the movie. superbad, the entire movie's a one liner.
-
I'm ashamed to say that I never saw Superbad - I plan to see it soon!
But I own the Hangover and its by far the funniest movie I have EVER seen!
-
HANGOVER JUST AN AVERAGE DUMB MOVIE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THEY JUST FILMED THE WILDNESS THAT SUPPOSABLY happened normally instead of tryin to go back step by step....omg soooo funnny our friend is on the roof!!!! but.... not funny at all sorry
-
Superbad.
The Hangover will be forgotten within a year, Superbad is a classic
-
I haven't seen Superbad but I watched the Hangover a few weeks back and thought it was pretty good.
Therefore, based on the opinions in this thread I'm now expecting Superbad to be even better.
-
Superbad rates higher for me. Jonah Hill is hilarious in it. The hangover is decent.
-
easy, Hangover
"Not up in here...NOT UP IN HERE!!!!!!!"
-
Superbad was way funnier IMO. The hangover was an average comedy that will soon be forgotten. The hangover was hyped so much and I was expecting so much more. I kept waiting for it to get funny and to get to the hysterical parts everyone was talking about but they never came.
-
Plus, most people probably missed the polaroids sequence at the end of The hangover, which was hilarious.
-
Superbad was better but it gets less funny every time I watch it. Michael Cera's character gets more annoying than funny and Jonah Hill carries the movie.
-
Hangover - not even close. No memorable lines?
"paging Dr. F@ggot ... Dr. F@ggot"
"I'm a steel trap ... i don't care if we kill somebody"
"did the real Ceasar live here?"
"in the face ... IN THE FACE"
"come here handsome ... not you fat Jesus"
"suck my dick" (from a girl)
"i didn't know they gave out rings at the Holocaust"
"and besides he didn't even cum in her - she hates semen"
I could go on and on ...
-
Superbad by a mile.
-
Superbad
-
The Hangover had that reality-ish picture to it.
The bearded guy could've been funny but the fatso actor isn't that good...
My 23 cents.
-
im convinced of the maturity level of members here at GB.
is everyone 20 or under?...
Superbad was ok, but a classic?...cmon lame-os.

I'm over 30 and agree. I rented and watched Superbad twice in one night because I thought I must have missed something the first time. Maybe if I was a teenager I'd like it more.
I've watched The Hangover 4 times and laughed my ass off every time.

Well I'm 44 and i thought that Superbad was a much better film. a great, truly hilarious coming of age film that will stand the test of time.
Hangover just a another lewd, over-the-top movie where adults act like college kids. Snore

Soon to be over 35 and think Superbad was better. I'm not one of those people that remembers much about movies, but I do remember laughing my ass off at superbad, and after renting the hangover a couple weeks ago thinking "wtf was everyone making such a big deal about?" And yes, that was one bad ass run on sentence ;)
-
I thought they nailed the teenager thing in Superbad, for example Jonah Hill cursing every other word to try to sound cool, but I thought the Hangover was funnier.
both were way better than anything else in recent memory for comedies.
-
New movie we were working on called Due Date. Is like Hangover and even stars that Zack guy. Same premise except it has to do with a kid being born rather than a wedding.
-
sex drive funnier than both...(first scene bodybuilding related)
-
Agree. Saw it over the holidays. I kept waiting for the laughs...and nothing. I did smile at the "here's your car, officers" line, tho.
exactly, i cracked a few smiles but after the movie i realised i did not actually laugh one time.
-
Superbad by a mile 7.5\10
"he's a Ri-tard" was one of the only funny lines. 6\10
That said Knocked up was easily the best 8.5\10
-
Well I'm 44 and i thought that Superbad was a much better film.
further proof if needed you re inconceivably immature.
-
Wow!
This must be an age thing.
I didn't even REMEMBER I saw Superbad in the theater until I watched the YouTube clip someone posted earlier in this thread.
The Hangover by 1000 miles!
-
The Hangover had that reality-ish picture to it.
The bearded guy could've been funny but the fatso actor isn't that good...
My 23 cents.
Isn't it you in that role?
Superbad.
-
There ya go. Superbad is a better film and it was not teens deciding.

I liked them both but I have a slight preference for the hangover... the scene with iron mike singing phil collins is hilarious!

The Hangover by a mile. It's not even close.

Both movies were ok, but that's about it. I laughed more at Tropic Thunder, and it's not even close to being one of my fav comedies.

i liked the doug song...doug doug dougie dougie doug doug

well look who it is..... everyone's favorite douchebag.
do you actually believe these little scenarios you create in your mind of what we're really like ?
-
Hangover was the most overrated movie in recent memory.
x2...Super Bad blow it out of the water...
-
Hang Over had it's moments but wasn't nearly as good as SuperBad. The overacting cops were terrible, The Taser scene was expected and the still pictures at the end that explained everything would have made for a better movie overall.
-
Which is funnier? I think Superbad by a mile but some people I talk to thing the Hangover was the funniest move in the world. I thought it was amusing but nothing special.
I heard the same things about the Hangover,"funniest movie ever!" When I finally saw it, I was worried my expectations would be to high. It was real funny. I liked it.No it wasnt the funniest movie ever. Yes I liked SuperBad better and laughed uncontrollably much more during it. I am on Stepbrothers kick right now and I think its the funniest movie for me ever. "Boats and Hos!"
-

Robert Downey is great in that."Here's my Motherf*cking farm!"

I watched that a few months ago. I was determined I was going to hate it because they just seem to be putting out just far too many of these comedies and each one seems to be getting increasingly thinner, comedy-wise. I laughed my ass off.

Chewbacca masks, awesome, but mine isn't movie quality, that's ok.....

Almost the last line in the movie. I howled. I'll bet that was an ad-lib, too.

It's amazing how many people that saw the movie missed that line. It was funny as shit.
-
Hangover was the most overrated movie in recent memory.
Couldn't agree more!
-
Tropic Thunder, Step Brothers and Forgetting Sarah Marshall were all better than Superbad or The Hangover.
-

Tom Cruise was the best part of Tropic Thunder :D
-

Were you actually working on it or did you know a guy who knew a guy who was working on it and you talked about it breifly? Which is it Keith?
-
Tom Cruise was the best part of Tropic Thunder :D
'And who here is the key grip?
You? You! Hit that director in the face, really fucking hard!'

Ha Ha Cruise was gold in that movie. That movie was a weird mash-up of genres, and it worked, but it could have been better.

I would have replaced/nixed the Ben Stiller character. That was the one thing I found that stalled/didn't really work in the pic. Oh, maybe tone down Jack Black a bit. But RDJ was all kinds of awesome.
-

His scenes were the best in the movie.
"Now I want you to take a step back...and literally fuck your own face"
-
I thought Superbad was funnier on the first viewing, but The Hangover definitely holds up better over multiple viewings. Hangover was actually funnier the second time I thought.
-

The scene where he tries to get Matthew Mconoughhey on board with his plan is fucking priceless

I spat out my drink when he looks at Ben Stiller and says, "What do you mean 'you people'?" ;D

is this a joke? the hangover blows that crap out of the water.

Agree, thought The Hangover was very unfunny. Played out and lame, kept waiting for the laughs, they never came. Waste of 2 hours or whatever.

I see your signature. Big Rush fan?

I do like Rush! The Trees is a very cool song. Always thought of that as a song about equality, economic mainly but could also be USA-Canada reference too. I'm not sure if people in Canada think that way though?

I've never thought of it like that. Good thinking. I just thought it was like a lot of their early stuff - kinda weird. Like 2112 being an Ayn Rand-themed 'future' album.

:) Yes everybodies gotta elevate from the norm.
Rush has always been about the Big Man (power, oppressors) against the meek.
-
the baby jerking off at breakfast always makes me laugh
-
I spat out my drink when he looks at Ben Stiller and says, "What do you mean 'you people'?" ;D
I liked the next line better, when the real black guy turns around and says "What do YOU mean 'you people?'"
-
Hangover !!!
"So long, gay boys!"
-
Superbad all day

Hemispheres was some good stuff, I always thought Rush peaked with Permanent Waves. Moving Pictures was overrated

Yes, though I liked Moving pictures personally that was the last Rush stuff I liked.

Wow. I'm not really a Rush fan and I like a lot of their later stuff. You're obviously a hard core Rush cadre member.

THIS is the funniest movie ever
Peter sellers "the party"
-
I remember watching Blazing Saddles in the theaters and it was funnier than anything. That movie with the 40 year old virgin in it that launched his carreer when he played a newscaster and when he was stuttering on camera was so fucking funny. That was the hardest I laughed in a movie ever

I turned it off after 30 minutes. Downloaded The hangover and saw about 40 mins of it, but the video skips about 25 mins and I'm not going to bother downloading it again.
Old School, Tropic thunder, Anchorman are all a lot funnier.
-

Try and download Hangover again, i fucking hated tropic thunder, i enjoyed the Tom cruise scenes though
-
The Hangover is the superior film.
-
I think both films were worth watching, but both highly over rated. People said The Hangover was non-stop laugh out loud funny, and I just didn't see that. I agree with some in this thread in that I enjoyed both Stepbrothers and Tropic Thunder more, and got more laughs from them. Danny McBride was funny in both Tropic Thunder and Pinnapple Express.
If I had to pick the funniest comedy in the last decade, my pick would be Borat. Absolute classic movie, and some of the deleted scenes and talk show appearances on the dvd are pure comedy gold.
" I'm retired " " oh you're retard. That's so nice you let the retard eat with you. " " Why you call the police? did the retard escape? "
" What is up with it vanilla face? Me and my homie Asimov are looking for a place to post our black asses for the night. Just us two pimps, no hoes. "
