Title: Studies Show Coffee Is Good For Health
Post by: Bodybuilding Related on December 30, 2009, 09:53:49 AM
Customers are growing more health conscious. And, in an effort to limit caffeine, some choose cutting back on coffee intake as a New Years resolution. But research shows a cup of joe may actually improve health, which is good news for retailers seeking to draw consumers to their hot dispensed beverage bar in 2010.

Numerous studies show that a cup of joe can help lower the risk of everything from cancer to Alzheimer's Disease, NBC Washington reported. Five cups a day can reportedly reduce the chance of developing Alzheimer's by 65%, six cups can lower a man's risk of prostate cancer, and women who drink four cups each day can cut their risk of stroke by 43%, according to the article.

Three cups reportedly lowers the risk of gallstones by 20% and just two cups a day can positively impact mental health and one study reported can lower the risk of suicide in women by 60%. Those who consumer just one cup may be 7% less likely to develop type two diabetes.

And next will come out a study (funded by radical conservatives) that will have statistics on how drinking coffee will lead to an early arrival in Hell, due to it being a stimulant.... 8)

6 cups a day recommended?  Who funded these 'studies.'  ::)

Drink green tea if you want something for your health.  And since Alzheimers is mentioned so prominently, it's worth noting that the incidence of Alzheimers in the US is disproportionately higher than anywhere else in the world.  I'm guessing it has more to do with exposure to aluminum than with drinking too little coffee.

Coffee is yummy, I drink it.  For yummyness, not health.

Coffee is full of antioxidants.

I have no idea why so many think it's harmful. Is it because caffeine wires you up?

It's a health food if there ever was one.  :D

Naked Rampage: OC Man Kills Dog, Covers Himself in Coffee

"He may have been under the influence of drugs"

It's possible drugs just might have been a factor in a Southern California rampage that involved a man allegedly jumping out of a third-story window, killing a dog with his bare hands and then pouring coffee all over himself after running naked through a tennis club, say authorities.

The unidentified 23-year-old allegedly began his busy day at a San Clemente apartment, where deputies responded to reports of a loud radio at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

"We get there, go in the room, the guy is gone," sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino told the Orange County Register.

The man apparently jumped from a third-story window, the newspaper reported.

Around 6 a.m., the man resurfaced nearby and allegedly killed a dog. A woman, 34, told deputies she was walking her pet Schnauzer near the 1100 block of Calle del Cerro when a man approached her, picked up her dog, choked it and then slammed the animal into the pavement. The man fled the area on foot, said the woman.

A few minutes later, deputies found the man at the Rancho San Clemente Tennis Club, lying naked on the ground, pouring coffee on himself.

Before his coffee break, the man was allegedly running around the club naked,
said a witness who called police.

The man was arrested and hospitalized.

"He may have been under the influence of drugs," Amormino told the Register.

I'm withholding judgment until I hear Swerdlow tell us why the Illuminati really introduced coffee to humanity. No offense, Jeff.

I love how they spec the mg of ephedrine and aspirin (81 I've always heard) but the only actual lypolytic in the mix is defined as a 'cup' of indeterminate volume containing an infusion of an unspecified concentration.

Coffee is very high in anti oxidents and a cup only has 2 calories.  There are other vitamins too. It is a natural diuretic too.

If it was than it would have included that coffee that has sugar, hazelnut, and whipped cream added cures certain forms of cancer...
