I don't think he was ever 270, like Flex was never 235 when he won his pro card.

So far we have 2 kidneys, 1 colon, 2 deaths, 1 life in prison....and we only had six in the field

Demayo story was pretty tragic......seems as if these guys get swallowed up the system.....maybe the IFBB should offer counselling, be a bit more pro-active.

He sure was. He was 238 pounds at his first nationals and 245 the following year and got up to 270 pounds by the mid 1990's.

I don't think he ever competed at 270, he appeared in the O once, correct...I never trust the weights from those guys. Demayo never looked as big as Paul Dillett who was a legit 275-280.

As I said, When Flex won his pro card they had on the screen 235, the man was 215. He was 216 @the 93 Arnold, 218@ the 93 O. Paul was 235--but jumped up to the 250's, by that time he was realizing that he wasn't the hot shit he thought he was, plus that incident with the girl. Guns, roids, crazy women and bodybuilders don't mix.

I bet you the worms that will eat him (or have) will probably be some big ass Mofos, due to all the residual AAS in the decayed flesh.

Paul DeMayo's death was one of a kind (he died from a heroin overdose) and nothing like that has ever happened in pro bodybuilding before or since.

I'm more interested in how he got onto that shit in the first place - for a guy that was once so fastiduous about maintaining a superior physique I'm surprised he would choose heroin as his drug of choice.

Maybe he was just one of those guys who had an addictive personality.  ???  :-\

Something tells me if someone were to post a pic of Paul today, the heckler would claim, "See! Even if he hasn't trained and has been dead for five years, he should still be at least 200 lbs. All drugs!"

Ha, true, true.
On the real, I remember seeing a pic of him in Flex, he was 18 yrs old...the dude had huge shredded legs then, he was a teen phenom.

Once you get hooked on that shit its not like you think. You need it just to function and it gives you energy, you can work like crazy, go to the gym, etc. He had the baddest side tri shot ever by the way. The rear head is like a friggin tumor on the back of his arm.
