Title: Tim Belknap - Criminally Underrated
Post by: Danimal77 on January 01, 2010, 11:21:08 AM
Dude was one of the first mass monsters. He was diabetic and took large doses of insulin at 21 years old (early 80's), which combined with a heavy dose of steroids contributed to his 5'4" and 245 pounds frame. If he had been a few inches taller, he would have rivaled Lee Haney, Matt Mendenhall, but he's completely overlooked:

funny thing is Tim and Phil Hill were placed down because they were 'too blocky'.  but by todays standards they are aesthetic and streamlined.

YET, you believe 5'8" Jay Cutler weighs 295 pounds???

How tall do you think most bodybuilders are fool? Dexter is 5'6" and claims to weigh 235 pounds, yet everyone believes his ass...

I never stated Tim was 245 in competition. He weighed 220 pounds in competition and 245 offseason.

Lee Preist was never close to 270 lbs except when he had the huge gut and was clearly off season.

You do know that he competed in the world champs in 81 and 82 in the light heavy class, thats under 90 kg.Or 198lbs.And most of the pics posted are from when he first appeared in M+F when he won the Mr America in 81.

He had a good physique for sure but no matter how good they are I'm not sure you can call someone a "mass monster" if they're only 5'4".

No-one ever called Lee Priest or Danny Padilla a mass monster - stick them next to your average 5'10" pro and they get dwarfed.

Can you fucking read jackass. I said he weighed 220 pounds in competition. When he came on the scene he competed at 198 pounds, but increased his weight. He reported to have gone up to 245 pounds offseason. I have the damn Muscle and Fitness issue where he states it.
