Title: Why doesn't someone make a publication
Post by: dyslexic on January 04, 2010, 08:35:30 PM
with bodybuilders that are off-season or just around 9 - 11% bodyfat? More BB's would have something to realistically aspire to.

Why always so fucking shredded to the bone? Who does that? Who can do that on a regular basis? Clarence Bass?

Wait... I need to clarify. They have to be decent sized and shaped bodybuilders that look better than the average guy. No toothpicks with 5% bodyfat.

I think it would be cool if MD or FLEX or MM would do an issue of offseason bodybuilders in relaxed poses.

I suppose I'm alone on this one cuz we are all hardcore to the bone and will tolerate nothing less than a contest-ready Branch Warren.

1) extremes sell
2) magazines sell the ideal of an image. Regular folk will buy more product in an attempt to look like the top 1%
3) magazines that have higher bodyfat muscular men are targeted for the gay community

I started a thread like this a while back, but mine was more geared toward why aren't there off-season bbing contests.  I think the look you described is better as well.

I sure wasn't even thinking about the 'homo' part. There are a lot of twink publications out there, but I haven't ever felt the need to look through them.

I forgot all about Fags Fitness and Fags Exercise mags. That "all-natural" mag doesnt cut it either.

Everyone wants to know what looks good- and what's within reason, but I'm talking big. Bigger than most and not nearly as shredded and ripped.

Hoboken, NJ is the home large hangars which house the 'Magazine Graveyard', where millions of unsold magazines get laid to rest forever

dead industry, except for those giants firmly established

NJ across from NYC is the shithole for NYC.
