Title: This guy got seriously owned
Post by: Army of One on January 10, 2010, 06:30:45 PM
Would extra muscle mass have prevented this?It could be argued.

Its real, guy was being chased by police I think, being thrown around in  car then ejected through a window would probably render you stiff.

Should have worn his seatbelt.

Real men don't wear seat belts.

They stack Glutamine with Pyruvate and ALA instead.

If the guy was on a gear cycle he couldve bench pressed that car off the top of him and walked away.

No, it's the other way round. Mass is inert, it wants to stay where it is. The cars flips but the body does not really follow and so is pressed against the door/window. A heavier body would mean more prssure on the door/window and a greater chance of being thrown out. The guy would have had to weigh much much so he's simply to big to be squeezed through the window.

This reminds me of a squirrel that had been hit and it was hopping around in pain. I'm talking huge flips and shit, I never seen a squirrel do this before. It was hit again, and kept doing hive flips. By the time I came back it had been hit and put out it's misery.

I disagree, I think only 6 months of swiss ball squats would have put his core strength up to the point where he could of stabilised himself while the car was rolling.

isnt it law to wear seatbelts over there?

well, i guess he wasnt obeying the law in the first place, but most ppl would belt up if trying to flee, or even from habit.

SB probably would have saved his life.

stupid is as ....

DAMN, I'm so happy I wear a seatbelt every day... a seatbelt saved my life in a head on colision almost 10 years ago, cop at the scene said I would have flown a good 60 feet right through the windshield..

While I do promote seat belts, I think they can be flawed too. There have been many people that the seat belt comes unlatched on, when impact occurs. There was a story about it a number of years ago.
In general though, belts are a good thing to invest in while getting in your car. A friend of mine was drunk driving about 3yrs ago, and hit hit a Ford Explorer with his Lexus. The Explorer rolled, and everyone but the 15yr old was wearing seat belts. The 15yr was ejected, the Explorer rolled over him, and two days later they pulled the life support on him and he passed on.

your friend killed a 15 yo due to drunk driving eh?

its no different than deliberately killing someone.

No way.  It was totally the kids fault.  If had worn his seat belt he wouldn't have died.  I hope YoungBlood's friend sued the kids family for mental distress...  ::)

Yeah, I'm a little cynical...

Yeah, I knwo what you mean..they have their flaws and aren't perfect, but honestly in any colision over 20mph they will save your life... everyone plays them off and drives without them, until they see that police video in high school where the dummy gets ejected like a godamn missile in a head on colision @ 80mph... I remember seeing that in high school and going 'holy shit...that looked like a f*cking rocket!!' ever since then I've always worn seatbelts and like I said earlier, some dumb ass 17 year old that just got his licensed plowed right into me at 80km/h at an intersection, if it hadn't been for my seatbelt I would have been a dark red splotch on the wall about 60 feet ahead.
