Title: BezerkFury - you still want to vote for Blumenthal?

Where did I say I was voting for Blumenthal? All I said is that Schiff isn't any better. They both suck.

One guy is a douche and the other can just about keep his own company afloat. I don't want either of them touching the state I live in.

I'm just dumbfounded that you paint Schiff as this financial wizard and yet he heeded NONE of his own advice. The guy apparently predicted the economic collapse before just about anyone and yet his firm still lost between 40-80% of its AUM in one year. What does that tell me? That he's incapable of managing risk. We've already got enough morons that don't understand finance and economics in Washington, we don't need another dipshit from the Roubini Dr. Doom train of thought.

Well are you going to vote in the 2010 Senate race?

If you are going to sit it out - then fair enough.

As of right now I'm not voting for anyone. If you can link me to a response explaining why his firm just about imploded and what he did to correct it then I'd be more open to listening to Schiff. As it stands, the only response I've seen from him was finger pointing and shit slinging at the people who reported on it.

From what I have read, two people who invested at the height of the bubble and got killed made the complaints in 2008.

If every one of his clients got anally raped, I would think he would have lost all of his customers no?

If you are going to sit it out, than thats totally cool.

From what I read, his fund as a whole lost between 40-80% of its AUM in 2008. Now I don't know how many people/companies invest through his firm, but that's a huge knock. Most fund managers are out on their ass when they report losses like that at a firm like, say, Citadel or RenTech.

The guy may be a financial wizard and predicted the collapse coming, but why didn't he mitigate his risk? Other funds and firms did.

I will see what I can find.  I read that it was an individuals' portfolio but I may be wrong.

If it was an individual's portfolio then I'll admit I was wrong. I personally haven't found a lot on it as like most funds, they're pretty hush hush about what they did for the year.
