MHP supplements has me working on a new project that I'm very excited about!
I've just returned from spending a few days with Victor Martinez in Tampa, Florida as he was consulting with his new trainer Joe McNeal. Joe is a good friend of Dexter Jackson and helped him win the Olympia in 2008. He is a very energetic, knowledgable and inspiring guy with one of the most awesome home gyms I've ever seen!
Please don't envy me. I was in a resort town but it was cold as s**t down there in Florida! I'm from Philadelphia, Vic lives in New York. We thought we were going to get a break from the freeze. No such luck! Anyway, I got some great footage and have made a start at understanding Joe's plan for Vic.
This is going to be a long and difficult year for Victor, but both he and Joe feel that Vic is poised to finally fulfill his potential and become Mr. Olympia. This program is designed to make that happen!
The first step in the process was the decision to skip the Arnold Classic this year. In fact, Joe McNeal refused to take Victor on unless he agreed to this one prerequisite. Joe felt that there just wasn't enough time to make the changes to Vic's physique that needed to be made and that they should set their sights on the O.
Over the course of the next nine months Joe will tweak Victor's workout, diet and supplements, striving to give him the size he needs to compete with Jay and Kai, while maintaining the classic lines that Vic is known for.
Recent setbacks are in the past. As far as Vic is concerned his knee injury is old news. Although he and his family are still grieving for their recent tragic loss, they are attempting to go on with their lives.
Vic is ready. He's excited! (Well, as excited as Vic can get. He's a very low-key guy! LOL!) It's going to be a very interesting year for bodybuilding and I am honored to be allowed into the inner circle with my camera. I am going to follow this "experiment" throughout the course of the year videotaping when I can. In the end I will produce a DVD for MHP that tells the story of Victor's transformation, and hopefully his triumph, from the inside.
Stay tuned!

Fixed.
It doesn't matter, Mike. He's with MD. At very very best he will take 2nd place. Until he leaves MD and signs with Weider he will never ever see a Mr. Olympia title.

Why does everyone think that, by taking a year off and "concentrating" for the Olympia, they will eventually become Mr. Olympia? ::)
Take for example Wolf, took a year off, came at the Olympia one time flat and the other fat and then crawled back to "concentrate" again for the title... ::) ::) ::) ::)
As i remember every Mr. Olympia (Jay, Ronnie, Dex etc), before becoming Mr. Olympia himself they also did contests like the ironman the arnold etc to gain experience and lean their bodies....then becoming Mr. Olympias ONLY THEN they took a year off just to DEFEND THEIR TITLE....
Nowadays we have a bunch of pussies for competitors.

What's also strange is that guys who compete several times a year like Silvio or Branch hardly ever miss their peak and always come in shredded, while the guys "focussing on the Olympia" always seem to struggle with their conditioning (Ronnie, Cutler, Wolf, Gunther), for them it was always 50:50 if they come in shape or not.

Mike, Please don't go Mitsuru on us...He used to pull this and his DVDs would come out May-Jun the year after the Olympia...I don't want to be on any list. You said around Christmas and now it's 13 Jan...Can we get a tentative date for Kai's DVD?

i dont know why victor hired joe mcneil, hes just another fraud whos claim to fame is getting dexter jackson in shape, who ate take out and bacon everyday on his diet.

I guess you mistakenly neglected that he was responsible for turning Flex Wheeler, Paul Dillet, Paul Demayo, John Sherman, Chris Duffy, among others, pro. Minor oversight. Also, next time you speak to Flex, ask him who's diet he followed for the '93 Arnold Classic. You know, the one everyone claims to be his greatest condition. ;) Lastly, you got the percentages wrong on his fee. Let's see, if he charged 20% for of your hero's earnings, how much is 20% of nothing? Regardless, is he supposed to do it for free?
Just because your hero bad mouths Joe and didn't follow his diet and training program AT ALL, don't get things confused. You're smarter than that.

You are forgetting he's also responsible for the 1992-93 version of Flex Wheeler. That really is his claim to fame. Flex told Dex to get in touch with Joe.
But, Vic's time has come and gone. Zach Khan and Roelly Winklaar are gonna give Vic trouble

This is a whole new level for me. I couldn't possibly have anticipated all the legalities involved.
When I do my own DVDs about my brother, I finish them and put them out. This is a whole different story. You can't imagine all the people that have to sign off on this! If it was my personal project it would be out there by now.
But we've had to review and review and go back and re-edit to make changes and because we couldn't get permissions for some photographs and video clips. It's been very difficult and a bit frustrating but I promise it will be worth the wait.
I really appreciate your enthusiasm but next time maybe I shouldn't say anything until it's done. I mean, do you guys want updates and little teaser pix and clips as I work on my projects or should I just keep them a secret until it's ready to ship?
If you do want updates and previews then you have to be cool with how long it takes to make these things. Mits was just dumping raw footage on a disk and it took forever. I'm actually editing and creating a story.

I really don't think so. But then again, I'm biased.

They are not "wasting" their lives.

If you've seen my work you know that I don't just post stuff up willy nilly but wait until there's a story to tell. Vic is in the middle of his story. I will be visiting him soon to get an update.
