Title: My Question to You
Post by: disturbia on January 13, 2010, 07:22:53 PM
Ok this is my thing:

If a person seriously thinks about, there is no good reason to reproduce. To what, invent stuff, produce stuff, work, play , whatever. What essentially is the whole point of this. If I wasn't born, I wouldn't realize it obviously, so it wouldn't matter. And don't gimme that the joy they bring crap, I'm talking the actual purpose.

what I'm saying is if every single person dropped dead and never reproduced, why does it matter? What are we doing that is so important to justify our existence

Have you read any spiritual texts? many people find inspiration in them, and answers to deep existential questions such as the one you have presented.

I do not believe you will find an answer outside of that. IMO there simply isn't one.

I recommend you to go to your local library and take a look at the psychology / philosophy shelves.  Once you start it's hard to stop. You wasted so much time already not feeding your brain with what it was starving for, it's never too late.

On a side note, everything is  " processus of survival ". Biologically, psychologically, physically, everything is cyclic, hydraulic -constant accumulation of mater/fluid/frustration/unconscious cognitions that needs to be expulsed/evacuated-and systemic.

Cumming, Ice Cream and Hot Blonde girls justify my existence
= orgasms, food - eating- and relationships/interactions with others » survival.

All of this is cyclic, hydraulic and systemic.

the REAL trouble with being born is that you are really close to a vagina but you are too young to appreciate it and IT'S YOUR MOM'S

your apetite for everything sexual only masks a deep natural and irrepresible wish to reproduce. You want to survive being part of someone else you produced , your son or daughter. Even you will have kids.

Here ya go Josh, sometimes i hate life, sometimes i love it. sometimes i feel worthless, sometimes i feel like i have a purpose. sometimes i feel alone, sometimes i feel wanted. sometimes i feel uneasy, sometimes i feel content. sometimes i feel love, sometimes i feel disgust. whats the point? theres no point, thats the point. life is what it is then you die. no one knows what happens when you die, only way to find out is to die.  8)

i won't argue that one bit

what is sex?
yeah, it is enjoyable and "cumming" is a GREAT feeling but, let's face it, sex is a means to a end-----> to make babies/continue the population of the animal known as homo sapiens (sp)

End of the day nobody gives a fuck about you apart from your immediate family, parents, siblings or your kids.Everyone else in life, no matter how loyal you think they are will drop you like a hot potato if it benefits them.So in this scenario having kids surrounds you with people who have your back and someone you can have genuine love for, and vice versa.

From the standpoint of evolution - if we didn't have the desire to reproduce we wouldn't be here. Natural selection takes care of the genes that would incline a person not to reproduce and enforces the genes that would encourage us to reproduce. Of course there is no point - just enjoy yourself.

The fact of the matter is that nobody really knows the answer to this. Ok, I'll revise that; I don't know the answer to this! There's just too many unanswered questions, namely, who or what created the universe? Without any real knowledge of that morsel, we can't really figure out much.

Disturbia,

You're just a convenient vehicle for DNA; a host, if you will.

Don't worry about it.
