A new CBS poll released late Monday asserts that a whopping 71 percent of Americans don't want former Alaska Gov. and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) running mate Sarah Palin to run for president in 2012.
What's more, of the 71 percent, 58 percent were self-identified Republicans. Among Democrats, 88 percent of those polled didn't want Palin to run; among independents, the figure was 65 percent.

That's fine, I like her a ton and would vote for her, but I will campaign for Thune just as agressively.

What's the attraction? Certainly NOT her intelligence.

I like that she pisses people like you off. ;D ;D ;D
I like her as a person. She came from basically nothing, has busted her ass her whole life in the lower middle class and worked her way up, not through affirmative action, grade inflation, or faux-accomplishments, and has not become a reptile like most other pols.
I know she is not a genius or Oliver Wendall Holmes. Quite frankly, with what geniuses, like Larry Summers, Geitner, Obama, Rubin, et al have done, I am about ready to never vote for a "genius" for dog catcher.
I like her policy positions on energy expecially and admiration of the founders of this nation as well.

The attraction is the morons in the media and on the blogs like yourself who feel the need to insult her. After all you guys have done SO MUCH more then her.I mean Im sure any of you could win in a governors race,be nominated for VP and write a book that sells millions. You guys are so fucking smart that she has done more in her life then you will ever do in your entire life.

Republicans need to focus on electable candidates, not Palin.

I agree. She is not good enough off the cuff from what I have seen to deal with what would be thrown at her, even though I agree with her on probably 95% of the issues.
Shit, maybe Scott Brown can be our nominee in 2012 if he wins the Senate seat.

You jinx everyone you back. So refrain from mentioning Thune from here on out. Just support him silently or else your damn curse will ruin it for the rest of the country.

Ok, so should I support Brown 2012? Why not, he would have the same amount of experience as Barack by then no?

Support Fred Thompson. We all know he doesn't stand a chance, so getting tagged with your Jinx won't matter in his case anyway.
