Title: Question for van bilderass!!

how would you set up a bodybuilding routine? i have read many of your posts and you definately know what you're talking about...

how often should each muscle group get trained?

reps?

sets?

exercises?

i have read abit training theory but not sure i agree (or understand everything lol). i read on a site that studies say 2 times per week is best..but i dont understand how to do that anymore, i need to wait maybe 4-5 days before i can train a muscle again...how can i train a muscle group twice a week? personally i think its only possible if you are newbie? only way i can train a muscle twice  week is if i go light ..i tried it and nothing happened?

In prison I used to train every day now I am 325lbs with 12% bf now. Clean.

Make your week an eight day week instead of a seven day week.


what asshole made it seven days anyway?  :)

Mon.-Quads + Calves
Tues.-Chest + Biceps
Wed.-Back + Traps
Thurs.-Shoulders + Triceps
Fri.- same as Mon.
Sat.-same as Tues.
Sun.-same as Wed.
Mon.-same as Thurs.
Tues.-OFF

Repeat!

whoaa...i need more rest days lol. max for me is like 4 workout days per week or i feel tired  ;D

like i said i been reading some training theory but i dont understand much lol...i mean they say work half your body in one workout..but i dont see any bodybuilders working out like that??

been working out for like 4 and a half years,to be honest havent had an exact routine,usually 4 workouts per week. i dont really count sets just go and destroy the muscle im working. so a bit confused about how i should split it up for best gains. altough i gotten pretty good gains.

but i could never work all of my body twice a week unless i hold back alot, so basically im confused as hell.

If twice a week doesn`t pan out for you,stick to once a week.......especially if you are progressing.

true, usually don't read much about training but have been last few days and it's driving me nuts lol. everyone says different things  ;D
