Title: Yahoo's "Most beautifu castles" Headline
Post by: regmac on January 21, 2010, 06:35:06 PM
When I used to live overseas in Frankfurt. Out teachers used to take us students out to these castles just to get away from our bratty asses. Whats sad is, its no telling what the rooms we were hiding in and playing hide and seak in , used for back in the 1400's!   They were very beutiful and scenic but we never learned the history till HS.

It's not the most beautiful, but this castle is about two miles from where my mum grew up:

Built in the twelfth century, I think.

I love this kind of stuff.  I have never been to Europe.  Had a couple trips planned but had to cancel.  Last one was 6 week tour with my daughters soccer team.  It was paid for and scheduled for the summer.  But then 9/11 happened and all the parents decided they did not want to travel abroad.  I will probably planned another trip for the summer of 2011 and mix some business in there.  I have friends that live in almost every country there plus I have family in Germany.  It is one of the places I have on my "Bucket List".
