Title: Is it true Weider told Dorian to get rid of his tattoos?/03 Olympia Sucker Punch
Post by: Method101 on January 24, 2010, 10:15:35 AM
(http://www.athlete.ru/fotos/profi/dorian/dorian_yates_161_1984_young.jpg)

Pair of doctor martens on his left forearm, a trademark of skinheads.
Other arm is the union flag and "My England" written below it.

Iv read somwhere that Weider told him to have it removed if he wanted to place well in future contests. Anyone else hear this?

Anyway another question is, was Dorian Natural in that picture?  :D

Final question is about the rumor, was Dorian punched down by a UFC fighter at the 03 Olympia Expo?

Is it a surprise that Hulkster is in another Dorian related thread posting negative/sarcastic comments?

I dunno if Weider told Dorian to remove the tattoos, but I doubt it since Dorian's lowest placing in his IFBB career was 2nd and that only happened twice.

Dorian said he didn't get serious about training until he was 21, so I assume that mean using steroids.

Dorian got suckerpunched backstage at a contest he was holding in Holland.  The local gangsters who thought Dorian owed them $$$ sent over a kickboxer to send a message.  Dorian was talking to Craig Titus and all of the sudden someone taps on his shoulder and as he turns around the kickboxer punches Dorian and then runs for his life as a crowd of bodybuilders chased him outta the building led by Ed Van Amsterdan.

Titus was outside the building - at least he wrote so in an issue of MD...

I remember reading that Doz opted to remove the tattoo because it represented a political movement he was no longer a part of. Had nothing to do with Joe Weider.

I asked Dorian about this personally, around 06 or so.

He told me that at the time he didn't think people would understand what it meant, so he just went and had it removed, in three sessions.

We had a long talk about Punk Rock, Skinheads, and the difference between the scenes in England vs. America.

Very interesting guy.
