I think the little girl is right on some level, but I didn't like that at all...
Those weren't all her words, and I'd like to have a "talk" with the fool who fed her those lines.

Exploiting an 8 yr old child to make political statements and teaching her to say "goddamn Christians"? Yeah, these parents must be real winners. ::)
-
Look at how she's dressed......I'm sure TA approves..having no real life experience, things like that are fine.

Go figure, TA liked this.
While TA is not a malicious peson, I think it is safe to say that he is delusional, lacking of any serious life experience, and the exact caricature of the brain dead college lib who never grew up.
-
Her intellectual wannabe parents should concentrate on having her to eat less and exercise some instead of nonsense like that.
-
in your honest opinions, what has caused more violence and death..rap or religion
-
how many full sentences did this kid make it through without being cut and spliced?
poor little kid with idiot exploitative parents. let's hope this is the worst they're making her do.

It alright to kill in the name of a God (of which 1 of his 10 rules commands implicitly THOU SHALL NOT KILL)...yeah thats cool...but lets attack 50 cent for his albums...freakin insane if you ask me

So you have to go back 500 years or better for evidence to make a moral equivalence?
And BTW - do some research, there were more than religious issues going on back then as well.

No, I have to look at what happened in the intervening 500 years and the fact that while Christianty committed many sins, it has largely atoned for said sins, acknowledged its faults and blame, and has since reformed itself by and large.
The same cannot be said of Islam.

Have you ever even read a history book or anything?
The KKK was an outgrowth after the civil war by those who refused to reconcile with the north and were committed to keeping the violence going.
It was not started a a religious group or had it as its main tenents.

The burning cross
Cross burning is said to have been introduced by William J. Simmons, the founder of the second Klan in 1915.The second Klan adopted a burning Christian cross as its symbol, using it as a rallying point and a means of intimidation against their targets. No such crosses had been used by the first Klan.
The practice of cross burning had been loosely based on ancient Scottish clans' practice of burning a St. Andrew's cross (an X-shaped cross) as a beacon to muster their forces for war. In The Clansman (see above), Dixon had falsely claimed that the first Klan had used fiery crosses when rallying its men to fight against Reconstruction. Griffith brought this image to the screen in The Birth of a Nation, adding to the confusion by mistakenly portraying the burning cross as an upright Latin cross rather than the St. Andrew's cross that the Highland clans had actually used. Simmons adopted the burning Latin cross wholesale from the movie, prominently displaying it at the 1915 Stone Mountain meeting, and the incendiary symbol has been indelibly associated with the Ku Klux Klan ever since.[74]

So, eventhough I am not a christian and I don't fully understand it, if I wear a cross and yell "In the name of JESUS" before shooting people up, that means I killed in the name of Christianity or that Christianity somehow justified that murder.
Christianity never killed anyone. People who don't understand its principal teachings, who take scriptures out of context and manipulate those scriptures for their own benefit or misguided personal beliefs, are responsible for those killings.
The falsely indoctrinated are responsible, not true Christianity.

Spanish Inquisition?
No one expects them!
Wasn't that a Roman Catholic thing? If so, it's not necessarily Christian.
Christian being in the name of something doesn't make it Christian biblically speaking ...for instance "Christian Science."
To compare violence caused by religions to violence caused by music or movies is like comparing apples and tube socks imo.
Also, I don't understand how her examples of Onward Christian Soldiers or Ten Little Indians are violent songs?

Biblical Christianity is very different than traditional Roman Catholicism. I'm not saying that some people that consider themselves Roman Catholics aren't Christians though.

It's really just Christianity as described in the Bible. There are some people that consider themselves Christian because they were baptized as a baby or belong to a specific church etc. but those definitions don't make someone a Christian (at least according to the Bible).
I guess what I'm saying is some people consider themselves "Christian" but the definition they use may not be from the Bible. Do you have any specific definition of what makes someone a Christian big_mal?

Well, I've been to church and I once went to a rap concert......
-

Not according to the bible. Maybe that is a tradition from a denomination that you learned?
In short, a Christian is someone who recognizes their need for a savior and believes in and has accepted Christ as such.
The bible states:
Eph 2:8-9 "You are saved (become a Christian) by grace through faith and not of works, so that no one can boast."
Romans 5:1-2
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.
This theme is throughout...faith (belief) and the Grace of God.....nothing we can do physically.
I have heard of confirmation...what is that? Do you take some type of classes or something?
Also, the only water baptism mentioned as far as I know in the bible is believer's baptism...there is no mention of infant baptism (if that is what you were talking about..not sure).
And many times when they talk of baptism they are talking about being baptized by the Holy Spirit, not water.
-

HAHAHAHAH!!!
Now I KNOW you don't know what you are talking/typing/posting about. You might want to read up on the history of the Roman Catholic church.
I can see why you have such demented and erroneous views on Christianity. You have no idea, NONE WHAT SO EVER, on the subject of religion.

Romans 10:9 is the verse thgat deals with being born again and becoming a christian....Check it out cha cha
The verse reads: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
How are you refuting Stella? Nothing here about child baptism or confirmation as the Catholic church views confirmation. Key phrase "in thine heart". Going to church only once a year, not being a practicing christian, or claiming you are christian while your actions don't reflect a truly repented heart is not true acceptance of Christ "in thine heart".
Like the good book says, "and if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
You and Adonis are in a ditch. So are all atheists. Quit commenting on a subject neither of you understand.

Also...Are you high...The Major Sects of Christianity as its practiced TODAY are Catholics and Protestants..
the apostolic church wasnt under this structure we are under now. It was mostly HIS preaching through the apostles. But as an organized Religion..It was the Catholic Church with the first mas Structure of Christianity.. And if Catholics arent Christians...how come you cant bring up the history of christianity with out catholicism being relivant.

Mal is right in that Catholics were the first organised Christian religion.Protestants broke away because of many of the insane beliefs of the Catholic church such as sale of indulgences and the Pope and the eternal virginity and sinlessness of Mary, among other things.
Catholics were first and without the Catholic Church there would be no Christianity. The problem with the Catholic Church is they change their rules at their own whim. For years they taught that eating meat on Friday was an eternal sin, then they changed it,but never explained what happened to all the poor souls who were in hell for eating meat on Friday before the rule change. They don't allow priests to marry, but did for years,in fact,Peter was married. The reason they banned it?Because of land rights issues between the Church and Priests.
So,yes,Catholics were first, but they have so perverted the Bible and the teachings of Christ that they are a diminshing breed.Go to any protestant church in this country and ask where did you grow up,90% were Catholics that left because of the insanity found in Catholicism.
-
By the way,the average Catholic is totally ignorant when it comes to his own faith.Ask most Catholics "do you believe in transsubstantiation" they don't even know what your talking about and its the lynch pin of their entire faith.
-

Exactly...And personally i practice more like a protestant because of my mom being black...My father is Puerto Rican and just culturally he is a catholic..This is where i was going with this in the first place. Im a catholic but i know that through out history we have acted the opposite of christianlike. With the killings and the condemning, then with the priests wilding out on the kids. It has been ugly. Protestants have shown intolerance and many scandals as well..all organized religion of any faith has.
I was trying to say, Religions body count vs Rap Music's body count is not even a contest..because religion is still practiced and headed by MAN who in inhetiently flawed...and mis guided at times...

The were the christian knights of the ku klux klan..and they Burned huge crossess in peoples yards after they fire bombed their houses..and they among blacks and JEWS they didnt like catholics....but in your head that has nothing to do with religion...right...amazi ng ::)

I blast Angel of Death and Slayer 24/7 and havnt been to church other than funerals and weddings in 20 years. Good try.
As for the KKK, they were a racist group by and large and the cross thing, as I showed you was largely no religious related.
BTW - the KKK would burn me as soon as they would you Mal as I am a catholic ethnic white from NYC.
The KKK is a talking point at best and there are probably nothing more than 100 members at best left.
However, enjoy bro:
And how could I forget - the one that makes holy rollers - SQUIRM!

Billy, have you ever heard of the following as addressing what you stated above?
1 Timothy 4:1-3
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.
I was trying to say, Religions body count vs Rap Music's body count is not even a contest..
Absolutely agree... They don't even compare...if they want to make a comparison it should be between "religions."
stella you forgot to bold the line before that...BELEIVE IN CHRIST.... convenient
mal, I'm not fighting with you :( I'm just telling you what the bible says.
I wasn't addressing that part in my post because I was addressing the fact that you added "works" (baptism and confirmation) to belief. Those were the part I was refuting..they are not necessary.
-
Uh, Yep.
Please make your case.
-
Please make your case.
The Koran asserts that the god of Islam is the God of Christians and Jews : SURA [29:46] Do not argue with the people of the scripture (Jews, Christians, and Muslims) except in the nicest possible manner - unless they transgress - and say, "We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was revealed to you, and our god and your god is one and the same; to Him we are submitters."
-
Please make your case.
What I find ironic is that you are religious yet I read your posts and you know virtually nothing of your religion or those that accompany it. Personally I think you have information bias and choose to ignore parts you dislike and disagree with and pretend they don`t exist.
I love that you and the shitbag Muslims and shitbag Christians pray to the same mythical shitbag in the sky.

So you are saying you are a Muslim and embrace what the Koran says?
I'll explain to you in a simple way why Muslims and Christians do not worship the same God. Christians believe Jesus Christ is God and worship HIm. Muslims do not.
What I find ironic is that you are religious yet I read your posts and you know virtually nothing of your religion or those that accompany it. Personally I think you have information bias and choose to ignore parts dislike and disagree with and pretend they don`t exist.
I love that you and the shitbag Muslims and shitbag Christians pray to the same mythical shitbag in the sky.
Actually I'm not religious and do not embrace "religion."
I do however embrace a relationship made possible by His wonderful Grace! :D

I simply quoted the Koran where it states that Jews, Christians and Muslims all pray and believe in the same Universal mythical fictitious shitbag in the sky.
Uh, Christians believe Jesus Christ is THE SON of God.

Well that quote from the Koran is interesting and although some people accept the Koran as a HOly Book inspired by God, I don't.
Yes, Christians believe in a Triune God. One God in 3 Persons. Father, Son and Holy Spirit....all are believed to be God. Christians pray to all of them.

Absolutely agree... They don't even compare...if they want to make a comparison it should be between "religions."
mal, I'm not fighting with you :( I'm just telling you what the bible says.
I wasn't addressing that part in my post because I was addressing the fact that you added "works" (baptism and confirmation) to belief. Those were the part I was refuting..they are not necessary.
i think the works parts talks about DEEDS...like you cant EARN your way into Heaven because your Salvatiuon wasnt earned. It was a gift and we have to beleive it happened and we are saved from hell...Baptisim is a Symbol of that salvation. But thats why i tell bible thumpers who say "ohhh you did this and that...yo will burn in hell now" i tell them "you didnt earn your salvation by the good things you did so you cant loose it by the bad things you do, because salvation was a gift..." But the thing is..the reason you dont "WILD OUT" on earth is not for the fear that you wont get into heaven... but the reason you shouldnt wild out earth is because you still have to live on earth and there are concequences to your actions that are carried out on earth...

Yes...which is what i was saying...Religion itself is run by MAN and by defination of man, will be flawed
The relationship is what should be embrased..
The problem with a lot of Religious people is, they give GOD, human flaws...Make God out to be some petty 12 year old hell bent on revenge...GOD is more awesome than that and he has the capacity of extreme forgiveness unline man...who would shoot you for disagreeing with him. Which in turn pushes a lot of people away from christianity. They think we worship out of fear and our God is full of Fire and Brimstone..which couldnt be further from the truth

Same with your religion of Global Warming TA.
Man up and accept reality. Your religion has been proven as fictitious as those you so gleefully mock.

Sorry, but the evidence is not in your favor at all. I wish it weren`t happening but the data suggests otherwise.

Once again, you entered a thread spouting nonsense.
Once again, you got shit on by more educated posters.

Don't worry. Isn't the first time it has happened to him. Won't be the last time either.
His typical routine has him running on a thread, braying on and on about something that he has no clue about, getting kicked in the teeth by someone casually laying down facts and logic and upon seeing the pwnage handed out to him, disappearing from the thread forever. Only to resurface in another thread days later starting all over again. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

How about this Griswald......how bout' we just take you out side and kick you in the nuts and call it good?

That's the truth. Dude is such a one dimensional poster, I question whether or not he has even achieved a high school diploma yet.
