Man, Gold's Gym Tallahasee didn't have any fake plates, I don't have any tattoos, and the hat was given to me by Bobby Bowden, just a simple FSU hat...forearms are right at 20 inches now, not sure about the bi's...but thanks for the opinions.

Jeremy is the Shit!!! Fucker beat me at the NERB meet in Massachussetts(spelling?) He is pound for pound one of the best raw benchgers ever and I witnessed him breaking a 29 yr old record at the NERB meet. Fucking CRAZY!!!
-
that bench by hoornstra is amazing :o
jeremy-what was your body wt doing that?
-
between 235 and 240...I did sprints to keep bw down but wanted to put on the mass so a few months ago I gained to 270 and now I'm cutting down to 240 again, somewhere around 255 now so I won't have to diet before next show. Wolfe is the man...one of my favorite pics that day was with you and Winters...haha...big bastards..

Jeremy,
what do you do to break through sticking points on your bench. I have been training with pause reps for about a year now, would you suggest i stick with them or just do them on occasional training sessions?
-
John Mark Blakely also know as JM Blakely as that a raw bench is 75% triceps. And I think that he knows what he is talkin' bout :) BTW, this gracie jj guy claims a 450*8 raw bp, so maybe you should ask him for some advice.
-
That's the way a bench press should be. No ridiculous back arch that restricts ROM, no belt, and no shirt.
Ain't that the truth.
-
"Big" Al has a lovely smile

JM is a huge cat, I got to see him bench about 10 years ago. Sick freak!
-
Believe it or not, he used to be my trainer. I remember being at a meet with him and he was laughing out load while well over 500 was sitting on his chest. He is a bit eccentric, but I think that he has a genius level IQ.

Hows come all of these beasts have Germanic surnames?

Hows come all of these beasts have Germanic surnames?
white genes and white power thats why :D

white genes and white power thats why :D
Exactly. I truly believe that. I am filipino, German and Irish. Germans are naturally strong (and I hope I got my penis length from them). Irish are strong too (don't now much about them) and filipinos are well........... very tan.
-
And in particular Northern European ;) No spanish, greek, portuesge or italian inferiors LOL
-
I was rly making a joke in all honesty, get it? why the last names are germanic... you know... ;D
-
I hear ya devil, and me thinks that Bill Kaz would agree wit ya ;)

that man was a beast... all I'm saying is that I wanted to make an absurd comment like so many here, kinda knowing it's part true but puting it out in a ridiculous manner... ya know...
when we talk about power it's kinda hard to determine what is the absolute power.... power to move and throw still objects? power to run faster than a gerbard and not get tirred?

Please don't own our long term posters like that. Without Getbig we don't have much going on. Thanks.

"longterm" posters should know better... just saying, they should have learned some basic elements of being fake and not and not ballantly yell fake fake fake to everything like severbreath

Yeah man that is kind of a touchy subject, but I think if you are talking about upper body strength, and in particular in the chest, arms, and shoulders, then white Northern Europeans are the masters. But if you talk about leg and hip power (running and jumping) well then the black man is the dominant force. But you gots to remember dat this is only in general and not true in every single case.

it's beaten to death everytime too ;) :-*
whenever I see someone extremely good at something, I allways ask; "train, how long, train what methods..." that's the most important, attitude and genetics play the second role... you saw how mike tyson and douglas got obese by 300lbs when they quit pro fighting? they just blew up like balloons, just like any sportsman who quits fitness after pro career, you can argue about steroids, but if the other one is superior in genetics, it shouldn't matter that much.

Everything I can't do is either fake or all drugs. Pretty sure that's in the Terms of Use agreement.
-
They should change the term RAW bench to REAL bench.....
Jeremy, that is freakin' incredible man. Awesome...
-
Speaking of bench shirts, JM says that a good shirt can give the bigger guys 150 to even 200 extra pounds to their bench, so a 633 raw is looking at a possible 800 shirt assisted. I remember a 148er who could only bench 275 raw, but when he slipped on his shirt he could get 400.
-
why didn't nobody watch my video link of scott mendelson benching 715 raw >:(
-
Probably because he has a 1000 pound assisted lift to his credit ;) BTW, did you check out Ayn Rand?

Nice benching. 20 inch forearms are huge - especially considering your height! My forearms are around 16.5 inches at a height of 6'-2" and 290 lbs. Upper arms are around 20 inches. I have naturally big foreams. I really should start working my forearms again with deadlifts. Although I doubt they will ever reach 20 inches. That's insane.

no You're the fucking idiot.....helping much?? hope so

Awesome raw benching. Glad to see raw lifting is making a comeback. I guess the raw rules vary by org as the one I lift in doesn't even allow wrist wraps for raw lifters, just a belt.

I saw a guy bench 800# with gear at body weight of 212, then when he lifted in a RAW meet he got 510. Thats 290# more with the shirt.

Pretty amazing.
Guys like Kaz (670), Ted Arcidi (705 pounds) were pushing more weight than that 30 + years ago.
