Just curious to what your thoughts are on cheat meals. Some people I know have cheat days while others will just throw in a bowl of ice cream one a week. I like to stick to maybe some frozen yogurt every saturday, as long as I was super strict during the week.

depends on many factors.
your bf, your diet, your stats, your metabolism, if youre doing a show, what drugs are you on etc etc etc.
when dieting for competition like i do now, i never cheat. maybe when im hungry i eat more rice but thats it.

I also cheat one day a week all day. I eat cake ice cream,drink soda and I dont coundt calories. Thats sunday of every week. However after eating clean for so long now, I cheat less and less. This past sunday the only thing I had was a single glass of soda

MOS you should look into scott abel's cycle diet (scottabel.com -> forum).
Personally I've found this to work BETTER than plain 24/7 dieting, as weird as it may sound at first. I've actually gotten relatively lean while not attempting to once lol

why would someone whos not competitive wouldnt enjoy the pleasures of life even when dieting.
seriously, having a good time is always ahead of just having some nice muscles and bf for me.
offcourse i can lose fat much quicker if i wouldnt touch the whiskey wine beer and pizza but hey is it worth it, fuck no. your body will look like shit anyway.

Usually on a scheduled cheat day i dont feel like having junk food at all
So what i do now is diet strictly most of the week but when i feel like cheating Ill just use the Adonis/Wavelenght Prinicples...this way i can get my favourite foods in and still diet.

But that can be a downward spiral. Not having a set time means that cheating can happen more than often. Like a poster said above, usually when my cheat day comes that I don't really care anymore.

then again, diets are a "person to person" type thing- what works for you, may not work for me and vice versa.
i'm not opposed to scheduled "cheat days" and there are MANY with exceptional physiques that adhere to this principle
however, in my case, i like to "feel out" when i need "cheat food". Then again, i'm a classic ectomorph and can eat pretty shitty all week long

whenever i want to cheat Ill just have 100 grams of protein from shakes and the remaining calories i eat what i want

Yes really, the benefits from cheating do wonders psychologically and physiologically. I'm not saying gorge yourself every minute of that day, but it you want something, have it.

Now Falcon didnt add you cant sit on your ass and do this and achieve leans. You have to be active correct Falcon? so if you sit at a desk or lay on the couch all day this Falcon approach will not work.

u can sit down alot but workout a fair amount and acheive epic leans but it will take longer

On cheat days I'll just have
a 600gram steak in lieu of
300gram.

I notice if I ever stray from eating primarily clean for too long my body just seems less willing when I get to the end of workouts. Especially squats,deadlifts and long runs. It's frustrating.

In the off season I have cheat meal only once a week (as my last meal of the day) a full on cheat day in the off season has me go over board and put on too much fat. For the cheat meal I try to make it constructive (no donuts,pastries,sweets etc.) ...try stick to "healthier" foods choices like burgers, pancakes,big subs etc. I find it satisfies any cravings and it's still functional...during contest prep dieting I prefer to have refeeds by just increase carbs by 200% from the same clean sources I diet on, once a week or so depnding on how quickly I get depleted/flat.

I'll eat clean during the week and have a cheat day (all day) or a cheat night once a week. You'll still get ripped, maybe not to shredded shredded, but if u just want to look good and be healthy than who gives a fuck about being 4%.

Have to agree here. I diet threw the week and cheat on weekends and have tightened a lot.
For the shredded look, yea, you could probably get away with a couple cheat meals a week.
Someone post the difference between 10% and 4%. I think the ladies prefer 10%-15% cause when I really leaned up my lady wasn't really feelin it. Face started to look more narrow and my muscle fullness wasn't there?

as i said above, it depends on many factors , competing in this case you wrote.
but in the guys case who started the thread "mos", is known to be a fat fuck, yet he hasnt started his "diet" and wants to "cheat", while being 30%bf ::), yes he could cheat if he was like 12-15%.

cheat meals are a must to keep your diet going without hating your life!!.. how often?!.. it depends on each one's goal and genetics!!.. i say the best way to go is to eat clean 5 days and eat what you like on 2 days (weekend).. this works fine if you naturally burn fats easily!!..

ive adopted a method similar to wavelength and adonis. one meal per day with carbs and fats. and i eat as much as id like of whatever i want, right after i train. the rest of the day i dont allow myself any fats ir carbs. i normally have 3-5 meals per day... all of them are about 40 grams protein from either chicken breast, egg white, lean turkey, isolate milk protien...and with it ill have soem evgetables and a few fish oil... but zero carbs or added fats besides the fish oil. so i consume rouhly 200 calories in 3-4 meal, which is 600-800 calories. then in my one big meal ill eat 1500-2500 calories... so my daily calories are about 2500-3500... usually around upper 2000's... i try to keep my one big meal mostly lower fat foods like cereal with skim milk, fat freee ice cream, fat free candies liek peach rings, orange clices, jelly beans, licorice, etc...

True for most people.
Cheat meals make a massive difference however when dieting if used correctly. Eating clean all the time doesn't keep the metabilism going.
