GENETICS. Look at your father elbows. And yeah of course, arm exercizes can increase pointy elbows.   Lying triceps extensions did that to mine.

Definitely. I think you get it when you do heavy overhead tricep extensions and weighted dips.

My elbows are a little pointy, nothing too bad.  And yes, my father has pointy elbows.

yes 87 % of bodybuilders have that problem.

Bullshit...I saw on the Oprah show that it is 6 out of 10 bodybuilders so your claim of 87% is way off...next time get your facts right before spouting off ;D

I have seen over the years some truly shocking cases of pointy elbows - the worst I can remember was on a guy who was a fairly large GH user so could well be to do with that.

I'm guessing that it's just a matter of bone structure/genetics....I doubt weight training changes the structure/shape of the elbow.

My elbows were "normal" up until I was 20 or so, and have grown visibly in the last 10 years. Pretty sure it has to do with heavy overhead extensions and dips - you can literally feel it when you go heavy.

I'd say my hands have grown a little too, from all the heavy gripping and handling of weights.

Never tried any grippers cause I've never run into them anywhere.

Oh no! And here I was, hoping no one would notice or find out, never mind the tons of pics I've posted with my head showing.

My left elbow is pointy, not to the extent of Dickerson! and it's always tender if I lean on it. Can't do skull crushers heavy anymore and need to do about 5 or six warm up sets on pushdowns before I can do anything useful :'(
