Right now you are moving with our planet at about 67,000 miles per hour around the sun. That’s about 19 miles per second. Sound fast? Other planets orbit faster and slower than the Earth. Pluto, the slowest “planet” is moving at 2.9 miles per second. Mercury, the fastest, orbits the sun at 29.8 miles per second. For comparison light moves at 186,282 miles per second
-
This is incredible!
And the sun's velocity in orbit around our galaxy's black hole center is between 210 and 240 km/s.
-
And the Galaxy is moving at approximately 630 km per second. No wonder we live so long and hardly age.
-
here is a video which gives you some perspective of how insignificant we really are in our solar system alone.
-
Here is a photo that illustrates just how insignificate the OP of this thread is!! ;D
-
lol. wes always keeping johnny in check.

Somebody has to try. :)

Damn! That computes to 671,000,000 mph! But what is the reason for the speed of light to be exactly that figure and not a bit faster nor slower ??? And what happens to that number when an object is speeding away from you at 20,000 mph ? Or towards you at 20,000 ?
What prevents the speed of light from speeding up or slowing down? And when that light leaves an object, does it start slow and gradually reach 186,282 or does it jump to that speed immediately?
Johnny, it really is time for you to read "Dancing Wu Li Masters" .... the easiest study of Quantum Mechanics presently available.
A slight understanding of QM will blown your mind!
Get that book and read one chapter a night and then think about it as you fall asleep.
It will change your life forever!
Or maybe start with a general knowledge of the theory of relativity. Understanding relativity first kind of helps with a better understanding of QM.

All BS aside interesting thread. Been wanting a telescope for a couple years now. I may get one soon. 8)

it's sad really

to watch that video and still claim we are all alone in this universe is retarded

All BS aside interesting thread. Been wanting a telescope for a couple years now. I may get one soon. 8)
Get a pair of decent binoculars first before spending serious cash on a telescope. A good pair of binocs is excellent for beginners and can get you very detailed images of nearby planets and constellations. Oh, and learn to read star charts as it will help you tons when looking for something specific. Lastly, if you live in a big city, forget it, too much pollution. You need to go out in the wilderness to get a decent look.

Thats what they are saying about us....

it's just a matter of time till your back in time out. then you can beg and plead with ron to let you out like you normally do, promising not to spam the board with your retarded ramblings.
this will last just right up until about the same time the paintcan fumes you just whiffed hit you and you feel the need to pollute the board once again with your idiocy.
so ends the life cycle of jonnay paintcan.

Johnny, "DANCING WU LI MASTERS" (the whole book) is now posted on line at .....
http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/archivos_pdf/dancing_wulimasters.pdf
At the beginning it is somewhat a difficult read but when you get to about page 70 or so it starts to get beyond amazing.
Once you read those very amazing pages and understand what it is saying, you'll be hooked and become the latest Quantum Mechanics fan.
You might want to do a Dancing Wu Li Masters search on line and see if there is a condensed version also available because this author goes into way too much detail.
I'm not the smartest critter on this planet so it took me a few readings before I even started to understand but recently I sat in a meeting with a genius who is a QM professor and he says I understand the grist of it pretty damn well.
He also said that any person who claims to be a Quantum Mechanics expert , has no idea what he is talking about.
Amazing stuff in store for you if you can get through it without having an intelligensia freakout during the process.

Gotta love the Wisdom that is The Falcon!

Cool, I'll look into the binoculars. I saw a telescope at Walmart bout $300 or so and was tempted but I don't know if I want to break off that kind of change yet. If I do I better see E.T. waving or I'm taking it back.

why Johnny....why?

Dl Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate is toxic taken in high doses. The natural version D Alpha Tocopheryl is a better choice but a more costly form of vit-e and isnt as toxic with high levels. Vit-E a great free radical fighter.

Just saying Falcon is right on Olive Oil its natural Vit-E rather than taking a Dl alpha supplement

The earth rotates on its axis once each day. Since the circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,901.55 miles, a spot on the equator rotates at approximately 1037.5646 miles per hour (1037.5646 times 24 equals 24,901.55) (1669.8 km/h).
http://geography.about.com/od/learnabouttheearth/a/earthspeed.htm
ever wonder why the earth does not slip by under you at 1037 mph every time ya jump....i mean i should be 1037 miles away from the spot i jump straight up in (high enough to be airborne for 1 second) everytime i jump...
things that make me fart.....
.....toxic thoughts....
