Sounds like something Bay would like to see in a mail order catalogue.

Attention:GETBIGGERS!!

will someone that isnt banned from MD remind Lee of this post when he was having a cry about no one sponsoring him last year particularly the bold, lol!

Quote from: Lee Priest;338669
Damn ...i know why i left australia back in 92...man is it hard to find sponsors in this country in any sport...and especialy bodybuilding...........i hope i don't have to head usa bound again to find sponsorship.......but companies here just aren't interested...maybe i should start my own product line..and when it gets going and doing well...i hope :)......i would gladly give back and  sponsor athletes who are best australia has had and sponsor contests.......just seems while your here they could care less but go make it big in the usa and come back and visit they are all over you........as long as you dont want something :)  .....so my comeback is on  hold........ Till i find sponsor.....

Didnt Lee Preist just sign with Infinite Labs????? I am willing to bet Infinite Labs is going to make products and put Lee Priest name on them. Or Steve Blechman who used to own Twin Lab is having his stuff made for him. Lee Priest, is a great athlete, but he knows nothing about supplements, or how to formulate them. All these athletes, Dorian Yates, Rich Gaspari,Fakri Mubarack,Milos, Yonnie Shamberger and, Lee Haneydont make their own stuff.

They all have it made for them and they slap there name on it. Most of them know how to train and diet, but know nothing about chemistry. I will say Gaspari, and Dorian, and Lee Haney make really good products. I knew Dorians old company CMP used to be good now they suck.We will see how good Dorians new company is.

I know Dorain sold CMP, and they still used his name until 2 years ago.Now they are just CMP. I remember using his protein with Yogurt cultures in it.The product tasted good and worked good.  I tried CMP about 6 months ago to see if it was the same.....No way, it sucked, it gave me gas and I was bloated for 6 hours. I felt like a swallowed a bowling ball. The crap is loaded with lactose, I know because I am Lactose intolent.

He has put money into the pro show as a sponsor as he always said he would.

Not many new companies would do that, Lee did not hesitate.

Yes but Tony, not everyone has the energy or ability to do things from heart the way you do.  I know you are aware of the difficulties of putting on a show and finding sponsors.  I think Lee will learn that sponsoring bodybuilders is unsustainable and extremely stressful.  I hope this doesn't happen though.  It would be nice to see him meet his goal of giving money back to the competitors.

For once, I agree with you. There are a few really good formulators out there. The guy TWINLAB has now is very good.

Lee's line is prolly being manufactured by someone. If not, it will be shit, because as you said, there are but a handful of good lab guys out there, and that's not even getting into the costs of R+D, quality manufacturing, quality control and clinicals.

Body 88, Maybe Lee will use the Master chemist Will Brink, since after all he is the "guru" of supplements. He could have been a great pro bodybuilder, but he stuck to the R&D end  ;D.lol.

Maybe Lee will hire Vern Troyer, Mini me as one of his endorsed athletes lol. They are about the same height.
Lee should come out with Platform shoes for shorter bodybuilders and shoe inserts to increase height. In all serious 'ness" I do with Lee good luck with his company. If his prodducts are good he will do well, if they suck, he will crash and burn. Lee just make sure your stuff is formulated well and dont use made up names Like Creatine Taurinate, or Creatine Ethyl Ester Malate. There is no such thing.

To many companies "make up' ingredients, like Creatine Beta Alanine, L-Norvaline Ethyl Ester Malate. Just to name a few.Lee makes sure you make label claim, the FDA allows you to be within 10% of the label claim. Also make sure your stuff is made in A GMP approved lab.  The DFA is cracking down on these sweat shop shacks making stuff, like some companies I know.Lee if it cost a couple bucks more to make the product work, just spend it, in the long run it will pay off. To many companies make a killer product the first 2 runs then start cutting back on there ingredients. Its the old bait and switch.

Hi-Tech did this. There first 2 runs of Stamina RX was spiked with Viagra, then they pulled it out. It put them on the map, but also put them on the radar with the FDA. Good luck Lee, I hope you make it big, god knows you paid your dues in the bodybuilding world and got fucv$#$ by comapnies and at shows. I am friends with your old Manager Mark, He told me some stories, lol ;D

Lee Priest Nutritrion? Come on

Gaspari, Labrada, Dorian Yates, Lee Haney, Benacourt, and many others have entered the supplement market with a vision to bring in their own line of supplements. Good for them.  Some of been very successful, while others have failed.

In the supplement world, each year I estimate about 15-20% come in and 15-20% leave. Every year at the Arnold Classic Expo, the Anaheim Natural Expo and just new calls, there are always new companies bringing in new items and new brands.

You can't fail or make it big if you don't even try.

what new items? what are they bringing that is different from the other 9,000 whey/no/caffeine products on the market?

correct me if I am wrong but these guys spend $0 on research and $0 on product development.  And to make matters worse they are all using the same manufacturers, labelers and distribution channels.

Maybe Lee can address this and clear this matter up.

To make it big you need bullshit and hype. An ad saying "Lee Priest Whey protein - quality liquid protein when you can't eat whole food" isn't going to sell for shit.

Lee just thinks it's so easy to form a supplement company and they are all making so much money and that therefore the bodybuilders in the ads are "entitled" to the money that the supplement companies earned.  I say GOOD - this line of moronic thinking will probably see to it that Lee's line fails.

When it fails Lee will still come back and say how easy it is and "if only" he had the right connections his line would have been able to succeed to.  ::)  He whines like a hippie.

Van, I have to agree with you this time.
One thing is why would Infinite or Jaugernaut let him start his own line in a contract that was just signed.
So one of 2 things happened 1) Lee is screwing them over and doing his own thing.Lee is known for getting out of contracts.Just look at Muscletech. 2) Infinite labs is using Lee as there new face on a product line.
This looks bad for Infinite Labs either way.He was just saying how good of a company they are and now he is starting his own line?
Was he lying? What ever it turns out to be, both parties just through there credability out the window.Say one thing one week, then do another the next week. What will be next, ????? Back to Muscletech for round 2, lol

I think Lee should try to out-advertise muscletech. Make bogus claims like "gain 30lbs in fo weeks" or "get so pumped up that you can't fit in your minivan, Like the worlds biggest and strongest bodybuilder: Greg Kovacs"

maybe Lee gets free unlimited protein from his contracts so he is just slapping new labels on their jugs and wheeling them out the door lol

Hey for here in Australia if he can get a normal protein powder and not charge me retard prices i will be a customer

Hi Matt, why do you have so much hate for Lee.

I have worked with every pro in the last 20 years and Lee is one of the best. Always cool with the fans, in fact, will stay at a venue till the last one leaves. He will help promote the shows any way he can. He does not have a big head or act like a rock star. Never demanding to the promoter and tells it like he sees it. You are just sounding  a bit bitter and I wonder why you would hate Lee?

I think he's nice to the fans and to the friendlier show promoters such as yourself, but he seems to always talk shit about supplement companies.  Now he will get to see what is required of a company and perhaps he will retract some of the comments he previously made.

Exactly.  Lee is already manipulating the naive consumer base despite railing on other companies for doing so.

Lee will be launching his products at the Australian Pro in 4 weeks time.

He has put money into the pro show as a sponsor as he always said he would.

Not many new companies would do that, Lee did not hesitate.

Best wishes Lee and thanks for your support

Tony Doherty

Very true!  Well said.  I'm sure Lee will produce crap underdosed products which promise "13,000% more muscle mass", then again, that's the norm in this bent industry, lol.

Lee sure must be attractive for supplement company owners to sponsor!  Supplement company owners LOVE paying people to tell everyone that their products suck!

When I first began training Lee used to be someone that I once admired (physique wise) and I even remember drinking an Nlarge shake while watching his first blond myth video ( this was before I knew the truth of bodybuilding and just loved the training and being a fan)
While his physique will always be one of the best his behavior and lifestyle disgust me. One day I was reading the new issue of MD while my wife was reading People. It was a perfect day. Just finished a good back workout, cooled off in the pool and was drinking a shake enjoying the company of my wife and the Florida sunshine outside. I couldnt believe what I read. Lee was talking about how he pisses on his former girlfriends and even double penetrated some girl with his friend. What was even more disturbing was how there was a feature article about his daughter on the same page. To me I could never buy protein from someone who admits grinding his cock in a girl with his buddy bumping dicks with him. sick shit. the tattoos on his face and his behavior are all signs he hates himself and is self mutilating the body he spent years trying to perfect. lol i love it. the bicep tear .... karma. your burned out Lee let it go.

I respect Lee for admitting that he didn't take over the counter supplements because they don't work and that he was a paid endorser and even then he didn't like lying to his fans, thank goodness that did take part of the sham that is the supplement business.

you have to respect Lee for that right?    :-\

I give positive reviews for some supplements on my website, but also negative ones, and I get plenty of other people to submit their reviews which at times are very negative.  I'm not under contract with a particular supplement company so being honest is fine.  However, Lee was under contract for supplement companies and therefore his negative reviews were wholly inappropriate.  After his contract expires he is free to say whatever he wants about the supplement company he used to work for, but good luck getting more contracts after that.

When Lee posted here the only thing that came to my mind was that he was mentally unstable.  In the BFTO videos I thought it was just the opposite where he seemed to be extremely down to earth and stable.

does that mean that bodybuilding.com won't be a "specifically chosen nutrition stores"?

 ;D

PS - epic shit distribution channels.
