Title: change to the weekly menu plan
Post by: marty31672 on February 10, 2010, 08:58:46 PM
i think a big step in improving my new training regiment is to eat a better diet

i talked with my trainer and my wife about this last week so i started eating different now

i thought that maybe i'd share the menu if there was any interest

monday:
for years me and my wife have had 'meatless monday', which means we dont eat meat on monday
we kept this tradition, but put in more complex carb sources so i have the energy to train after work
on monday it was a layered mexican dish of different beans, a little bit of low fat cheese, and tortillas

tuesday:
cranberry, wallnut, and feta cheese salad with a light vinagrenete

wednesday:
veggie lasagna with one small link of spicy sausage

thursday:
not sure yet but i think we might make this a leftover night...

friday:
this is always are fast food night to give me wife a brake from cooking so much
this is kind of a cheat day too from the diet so i might do a burrito and a taco at taco bell

saturday:
we may be going out to dinner with a few of her friends

what do you guys think?
my main goal is to improve my energy so i can train good after a long hard day of work

Sounds like your fatter because your body is storing the food you eat as fat because you are not eating enough food.

I do veggie Wednesday.  Thursday mornings I have the biggest shits from all of that fiber. Quinoa is the bomb!
