(CBS) In front of a crowd of Republican Party activists and the tea-party movement’s rank and file here on Tuesday night, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin seemed to put a damper on speculation that she might consider running for president in 2012 as a third-party candidate.
Asked what her advice would be to conservatives as the November elections approach, Palin first lavished praise on the Tea Party movement, calling it "a grand movement" and adding, "I love it because it’s all about the people."
But she quickly pivoted to the broader question of whether the Tea Party movement might successfully field its own candidates in national elections, and on that point she sounded far from convinced.
"Now the smart thing will be for independents who are such a part of this Tea Party movement to, I guess, kind of start picking a party," Palin said. "Which party reflects how that smaller, smarter government steps to be taken? Which party will best fit you? And then because the Tea Party movement is not a party, and we have a two-party system, they’re going to have to pick a party and run one or the other: ‘R’ or ‘D’."

You left out the part where she is donating all the money.
Did you also have a problem with Obama getting paid $500,000 after winning the election, and just prior to be sworn in ?
President Signs Big Book Deal
"Barack Obama once again demonstrated his callous unconcern for the American people by signing a major book deal right before he was sworn into office. Obama received a $500,000 advance for a middle-school reader’s version of Dreams From My Father on January 15. This obscene amount calls for a congressional investigation, and harsh words from Christopher Dodd! It also suggests that the only way to secure a decent book advance these days is to get elected president — a process that is only slightly more difficult than getting a publisher to look at your manuscript."

Palin said she is giving it away many times.
LOL
Pea Brain is having difficulty staying on subject. :-\ Still waiting for you to answer the question of where Palin is donating that $100k she suckered out of your fellow tea baggers.
She doesn't love you, she just wants your money, SUCKERS.

Does anyone else think it is just a little bit, umm... well you know... weird that Palin paints herself as the heart of the tea party movement and principles and then turns right around and says she is planning to stump for McCain this year in his campaign?
The same McCain that is a known liberal and his own party labels him a RINO. Despite the GOP opponent he is facing is Hayworth, a known conservative and tea party model, Palin is going to align herself with the RINO and his liberal ideas that she so vehemently rails against. When she is flip flopping to the other side of the coin for that day.

Yes, I am not happy about this at all. If she continues with this, i am done with her.

So where did she donate the money to? 333, you've avoided answering that this entire thread.

I think she said she was donating is to various tea party causes. She probably deposited the money in the SarahPac where she donates money to candidates, etc.
-
Various tea party causes probably means her bank account and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Who knows, i am definately not thrilled lately with her cozing up with a few rino's. Shwe continues with this and i am done being a supporter.

I wouldn't trip about this. As Michael Steele put it on Hannity, this is a healthy debate. Let the GOP primary process take its course and put all the muscle behind the winner (the one who truly represent the conservative view, according to the people).

I am still a fan of hers, but if she goes RINO at all, I will definately be done with her.
I have zero tolerance for RINO's anymore. She cozies up to McCain/Graham/Romney etc, I am not going to be happy at all.
If she goes like Chris Christie is, I will be happy. So far he is kicking major ass and taking no prisoners.
-
Saying one thing.... doing another.
Flip-Flop
Flip-Flop
I guess that is just her "maverick" appeal... gotta keep 'em guessing what hair brained contradiction she will pull out of her ass next.

I doubt she goes RINO. That ain't what brought her to the dance. But, at least with McCain, it's a bit hard to bite the hand that fed her (so to speak).
And, didn't she back Christie, during his campaign?

I'm talking about the approach to issues. If she plays the mushy moderate poli=speak, no thanks!
If she does like Christie and goes on a seek and destroy mission against govt waste fraud and abuse, I will support her ardently.
Christie is really tearing shit up in NJ. The libs, newspapers, unions are apoplectic.

No, that honor goes to the big-eared goof in the White House.
Healthcare debate on C-Span
No Earmarks
No lobbyists in his cabinet
Transparency in government
Bipartisanship in his administration
Keeping your own doctor and insurance, under ObamaCare
Stop me anytime you like…….

What is more important to her - Loyalty to country, or loyalty to mccain?
That is what this comes down to.
yes, mccain gave her a nice start, but she would have been a star no matter what. Hell, if she had declined the VP nod in 2008 and studied like crazy for 3 years (without letting the world know how unprepared she was) she could have knocked them all out in 2012 for the repub nod.
-

Hey Benny.... What's with the personal name calling? It is irrelevent where the money went. She's not in public office. And the question about Obama's fund raising is quite important since his IS president. But of course, like all liberals you resort to anger lashouts, name calling, and character asassination. Isn't this page 1 of the Clinton playbook, authered by Carvel, Stepanopolous, Emanuel, and the lot? No ideas, and when fustration gets the best of you, destroy or opponent.
Sit back, relax, you can have your opinion. But the personal attacks are not necessary.

Who says the two are mutually exclusive? She'll give McCain the obligatory and courtesy push. But, if Hayworth beats him in the primary, she'll throw her hat behind him. That's what I said earlier.
The end goal is whipping the Democrats' behinds and heaving them out of the Senate. All parties involved can agree on that.

I almost forgot about the most recent flip-flop:
For the better part of TWO YEARS, Obama claimed that if people's income < $250,000, their taxes wouldn't going up "one single dime". Now, he's "agnostic" about the issue and hiking taxes on the middle class is on the table.
And, you're yapping about Palin and flip-flopping? PLEASE!!!

here's the prob, MCWAY...
The biggest voices in the GOp should be talking about this all the time. Eveey minute - dirivng the point hom.
Instead, they're talking about the R-word, obama's bicycle skills, gays in military and other less pressing issues.
palin should be blooging DAILY about this drunken sailor spending!

Amen. I posted a video with Christie from NJ taking no prisoners on this.
If the rest of the GOP took even a sliver of that video and used it they would be home free.
If Sarah keeps playing games I will not support her.

Oh, they're talking about those items. Make no mistake about it.
Our beloved media just emphasized more of the potshots on Obama, than the issues involved.

Check out this gem. Remember this?

Now, you know, as hard as the press is on Baby Girl, they would have a field day with her if she brushed McCain off for Hayworth. She'd be branded as the most ungrateful heifer in the country.

I agree 100%, but now is not the time for games.
She needs to be able to kick ass like Christie in the videos I posted and act on it in a strident manner.
I live in NYC and get to see what Christie is doing and he is literally like Van Helsing to the libs and unions. Sarah needs to shed herself of McLame and the RINO's and go be like a stake in the heart of the left wing vampires.
I'm telling you, Christie is providing the model for future GOP success. Take no fucking prisoners and hack these left wing vampires off at their knees.
If she does not do that, she will be no different than any other hack pol.
-
YES! Take away the racist overtones that creep in on a small % of tea party members and speakers, and yes, they are absolutely the model for future GOP success.
I thought Palin didn't given an F what the "lamestream" media says about her ???
Suddenly she has to back mccain because if not, msnbc will tease her?
And FOX? She could stab a baby seal on national TV, and you'd have hannity and friends reminding us all that baby seals are dangerous in a post-911 world...

That shedding of McCain will naturally occur if he loses to Hayworth in the GOP primaries.

For the most part, I don't think she does care. But, why arm the "lamestream" media any more than necessary?
-

She strikes me as more a Mark Workwarehouse kind of gal. :D
