Definitely not 80

Each band is about 40lbs of resistance AT THE TOP of the pull. I say about because with bands there are a few variations to take into consideration, in this case it would be arm length. If you were using this for bench presses it might be arm length, torso thickness or height of the bench.

All good stuff, which we use to call muscle ups. Chin, than work into the top side of the bar with a form of dipping. Than back down again, for reps. Gymnast do this form of training. Part of it is keeping the body stable up and down. That side to side chin is excellent also. Can work into those planche's very well with the muscle ups, extra involvement with the cord (yeah, I know... over worked term)  muscles. Abs get a lot of work. Like anything else, gets easier the more it's done.

Nice video offered by JME. Good reps done. Though using chains may give a better ideas (can get a pretty good idea of the amount of resistance/ratio/strength curve the more the chains leave the ground, lrength of travel/pull,etc). But to each his own in any kind of training.

Actually these sets were all done as burn outs after a ring work out.  I had been doing wide muscle-ups, and iron cross pulls.  My goal was to work towards a butterfly mount.  For the last 4 months I have been lifting weights and working in a higher rep range trying to gain some muscle.  Also I got off calorie restriction.

My intention is that by the time summer comes around I will be thicker and able to pull cleanly into the butterfly mount.  I think I might be able to do it if I allow myself some elbow bend.

I'm not sure I never really do max reps.

I was quite good at chins.

At 245lbs I could add on 90lbs and get a few reps.
