What year of car do you have?
You can buy an odbII scanner cheaply and clear the code. Emissions is harder, check the cat, and mufflers. You can also seafoam your car to clean on that junk oout.
-
increase your daily calories by 500.
Switch out whey for casein or muscle milk before bed.
emissions will return to acceptable levels.

you are at the age that everyday more you are finding out that you are truly becoming a "man"
life isn't all cereal and cartoons anymore unfortunately

Kill her and then kill yourself

Is your face clear at least Gene?

You gotta see what faults are stored in your cars engine control module, im assuming that you had a code for one of your oxygen sensors thats why the repair shop replaced it. The check engine light could come on for hundreds of diffrent faults also for some faults in your transmission control module if you have an automatic. Don't go out buying parts without knowing what faults/codes you have. Buying a gas cap is only good if you have a code for a leak in your evaporative emmissions system ( fuel vapor leak in your cars gas tank/ fuel system) and even then that might not fix the problem but it's a decent guess. You don't have an Audi by any chance? if so I can help you out if you posted what codes are stored.

Don't know hwy I'm replying to this gimmick, but since it may actually help someone else.....
Go to your local Autoparts store. Look for a Kragen or Autozone. Tell them you have the "engine" light on. They will check it for you for free. They will even give you a summary of the codes (what's wrong with your car) for free. Just ask them. Go from there. Could be lots of things. Yes, even your gas cap.

Just burn your car in the desert...just make sure nobody is inside it. :-X
-
When it's not one thing it's another.

thanks

Gene, if your car is an older one, sometimes it gets a hickup as my dad says..
Here is a trick
Take one of your battery post off the battery for a few minutes before you go to emission test. It should stay off..downside of this, you have to reprogram all radio stations
-
This works sometimes - disconnect the battery for 10 minutes reconnect then drive the car for around 100 miles take it back for inspection worked for me once. It resets the codes in the computer module.
-
Walk
-
Go back at night. Nocturnal emmissions are way more fun.
-
If it passes emissions and the light is still on, just put a piece of tape over the light...Out of sight out of mind...

In CA they won't even hook your car up if the light is on.
