Because he was able to make bodybuilding seem not so gay.  Quite an amazing feat.

An Austrian boy from the backwoods does not get to the top without taking more than his fair share

just read his auto-biography......his basically outs himself by defending his hetro-ness.....Arnold is Alpha in what he achieved.....but sexually he crossed the line...and I'd wager many times.....your hero is a closet schmoe smoker.....sorry!

I don't care if Arnold is a homo or not, my only point is that it takes a true alpha to make bbing not seem gay.  I mean seriously back in the 70s with Arnold it was cool to be into bbing, but now who do we have Kai, Drugdale, and a bunch of crappy other fancy boys.  Pathetic.   >:(
