kai got straight 1st's at night.
-
gayer than winning the night show
-
funny that dex lost 3rd after the night show...
bb'n is more than just having the best build,,, the posing routine,, when the builds are close is what makes or breaks it...
i know that 1st hand through experience... you can be the best built guy up there but if your routine puts people to sleep, is poor and demonstrates you lacked any effeort in it what so ever,,, you will lose.
showmanship in the night show counts. this is a form of entertainment, you are on stage which = you need some type of stage presence... tickets must be sold,,, seats must be filled.
heath ought to be very happy with himself after seeing the cards and that he was in 1st after the pre judge...
that means that he is gunnin for top 3 mr o spot this year... he now knows what to work on, aside from overall physique.
again,,, yes in a sense it stinks that the best built guy didn't really win but there are other small pieces to the "total package"
jay now knows his competition this year,,, kai and heath.
branch has a lot of work to do, dex oughtta keep workin,,, freeman has a good shot to crack top 5 in the o.

If Phil Heath cant win a show looking the way he did, well, I dont know what the man has to do. Kai was obviously slightly off and not as razor sharp as Phil. Oh well, Bodybuilding has become about politics, and Kai is obviously swinging from the right pole.

why are so many of the judges scores thrown out (bottom 3 and top 3 scores out of 11 judges)?
according to PBW, if all raw scores were counted phil would have beaten branch in the finals by a full 6 points and would have only lost the entire show by only 3 points not 5!
when the placement system was introduced in 1982 they only dropped the highest and lowest not the three highest and lowest.

I agree they throw out way too many scores.
I don't know how Phil didn't win. If Kai was a bit harder, fair enough it could have been the toss of a coin. I don't think either of them has the best structure, they are both roughly the same size so condition should be it.

look at how thick Phil's back is! :o
