Sauce, Cyr and Kaz have and a few others- Pfister maybe but it was ALL one handed from the floor.

paul anderson used to rotinely put up over 300 lbs in this manner. see you tubey.

That pic looks like an Inch Dumbbell (w/smaller handle) and those are ~172lbs. Any pics of the 300lb db used?

What made guys like Cyr, Goering, and Sandow so special is they did these amazing lifts before the drug era and used no supportive gear

To finally, Poundstone's and others circus dumbell lift. I personally consider Poundstone's lifts better because:
a) Verifiable weights. Anderson's bell was a hodgepodge of different weights, looking at it you really can't say how much is on there.
b) 3 inch diameter of the circus bell. If you've ever played with thick grip stuff, after about 2" or so, it really tears at the thumb. Andersoms was nowhere near that thick.
c) While both use some leg drive, Poundstone stays more upright. Anderson's lift was more of a "side-press" . The range is better on Poundstone's lift.

saxon was supposed to be able to press two 150 lb dbs. pudgy was no slouch either.
