you know high pain tolerance/stress can be linked to high blood pressure. There might be a similar reason for Samoans, although, they were not really the warriors that portrayed. You have tiny islands with pockets of people, no really big game ever lived on those islands except Moas and Elephant birds if that, maybe small tigers, but there was very little competition from other peoples like in Africa, Europe, Mainland Asia, and South America. Very little competition means one can become a BIG GUN in their tiny little spot...but you take them out of their and place them within various other populations at a certain time period...well you get the idea.

there was a 60 minutes piece on CBS 2 months ago about these species and they said that those guys have a much higher percentage to make the NFL than most other Prospects. I agreed 100%

The German and British navy's, with cannon power and armed troops, were the reason the Samoa's were taken at first. There are two Samoa's. Present Samoa was called German and later Western Samoa. The other half of the island chain is America Samoa. Samoa is 3 times the population of American Samoa. I lived in California since I was 10. Can not vote in any election because I would be considered an American national.
Not all Samoans are super sized and strong. Those most are. The large bone and joint structure make them so. Benching and overhead pressing seems to come natural. Though the hip and leg strength can be be even more impressive. Even some of the women are extremely strong. My two cousins were benching 400+ while in the 11th & 12th grades in high school, at around 190-200lbs. One cheat curled 220 for reps. Later both played college D-1A, as I did.
Samoans are not that big on working out unless there is a good reason for it. They, for the most part, are well muscled and strong, so why bother exercising. Lifting a 40oz may seem more reasonable to some of them. The NFL is one good motivator for a lot of football players today. The Mormons brought over college guy's to play in the Utah schools.
Samoan's do feel pain like anyone else. Though kind of a delayed action. Hard to explain really. Also tend not to show anything is wrong,that they actually be hurt. No pain, no gain I guess. They do not act like some other races who act like drama queen when only slightly hurt. I will not mention names.
And to add to all of this: If GB was a village than Method101 would be the village idiot.

There is something odd to me about seeing Samoans playing american football. I think they are better suited to rugby.
Also method your tired arguments hold little weight, your understanding of humans and anthropology is so minuscule as to be laughable. You expect every race to be destined towards the same thing like cars, computers etc. What a foolish notion you hold. Perhaps if you educated yourself you may be able to see that not every human is destined to be like all the others, each has something unique and different about them. Samoans are very cool people as a whole. Living in Hawaii for almost 20 years and being my size I got along with the Samoans and Tongans and got to know alot of them. In LA I lived with a Samoan family that had 16 kids total. There dad was heavyweight boxing champ of Samoa. I did learn that if you fight one Samoan you will end up fighting every Samoan there. So be prepared. Quite a few athletic Samoans from Hawaii from pro football to Olympic. I was very sheltered as a kid. I never was around drugs or alcohol or anything bad. I also never met many people outside of my friends from school and the neighborhood. I met my first Samoan 2 years out of high school at a high school football game I was watching another friend play in. He introduced to me this guy who when I saw him I freaked out. he was 6'5" 340 pounds of Samoan in high school. He was huge! But so nice and soft spoken. I had never seen a Samoan before and thought he was a Mexican/Black mixed guy. Anyway, he was nice and in fact had a contract signed with thr St. Louis Cardinals after one year in Community College ball. He took the $40,000 bonus they gave him, got his girlfriend pregnant and moved back to Samoa (I think). he never showed up to camp or anything. His brother came from Samoa and tried out for the Chicago Bears. He made the final 40 and quit. He just wanted to see if he could play American football. Their baddest brother was a cop in Inglewood and everyone including every gang member was scared shitless of this guy. He was very very scary. Anyway, my little addition to the Samoan thread. On a side note I always hate when people think I am Samoan. I am way better looking and as a kid and growing up I was always small but strong. Shit I weighed 130 as a freshman. I worked at getting big. Now I take the Samoan thing and agree. It gives me an excuse why I am so big now. ;D
