You may catch a few sh*tty guys here and there but for innocent people, their DNA should be destroyed as soon as they are released without conviction. Assuming they are done so of course.

bad idea until law enforcement catch some pervert or killer who they have been looking for who happens to have be DUI.

They wouldn't be able to use it as evidence that's for sure, but they could then pin you to a crime and look for things to support that, of course they would have to prove why exactly they figured you to be a suspect.
