Taxes on the Federal Level are about control, manipulation of activity of people, and have nothing to do with revenue generation.

When our country was fuonded and for many years, the govt was tiny and did not require insane levels of taxation over populace since most of the money was raised by tarriffs, duties, etc.

Yes, but we still have tariffs, duties, etc.

They have just added miles of other things on top of all that.
