Well, wasn't it obvious that he's a retard when he said he uses IE?

My school sent out an email last week stating that IE has some vulnerabilities, thus making it easier for hackers to do something to your computer while using IE. They sent some links--I'll see if I can find them.

Yes you need the latest Microsoft patches can be found on the website, you have to select the correct OS.

how is The CCIE studies going?.......I heard folks are dropping out of the CCIE labs like flies these days. Cisco is making it unbelievably harder to pass.

been stuck on a custom queuing problem for 3 days now....its got something to do with fragmenting RIP updates (since i have my ip mtu set at 156 for voice packets...i dunno it works out 156 considering the serializa....ahh fuck it...it'll take me a whole page to explain when i dont fucking understand it myself....i might just take the nite off....and go at it tomorrow on a fresh...
btw... again... i'm going the www.ine.com program.....check out their list of CCIEs...but yes...its wayyyyy tougher than i thoughtand i'm not sure i'm smart enough to pass.....no gurantees :-\

might go watch shutter island....i hear its pretty good
thing is ...i gotta set the MTU very small for voice packets(when i work out the serialization delay..comes to 156)...in doing so RIP updates get fragmented..and since RIP is UDP (Port:520) i think the side that has to re arrange the fragements is having an issue putting them together
(remember...UDP is connectionless..so a lost fragment has no way of being recovered)
add this legacy custom queuing on top and what we have is the coming together of 4 or 5 different issues, while although solvable individually on their own, together r creating a perfect storm of sorts.. >:(

Yea I have dabbled in fragmentation but nothing extensive I know enough to be dangerous. Probably best to rest on the stuff and start tomorrow.

better than google chrome?
curious...
Performance wise they are practically the same, but Firefox has tons of add ons that gives it the edge. And some of those add ons are great, like the one that lets you download video clips from YouTube and other sites (including adult sites) that let you download, dictionaries, translators, screenshot takers, download managers and so on. Firefox is also fast and stable, although Chrome is no slouch either.
Once you start using Firefox, you'll never use IE again ever.

i've been using chrome for the last hr or so....and i tell u i'm not using IE again....for my purposes.. <cltr j> showed me all the files currently downloading (in progress)...it ws pretty neat...and then copying to my thumb drive ws simple ...as with IE i swear i ws pulling my hair out trying to figure it out....i actually called a network engineers...and he told me to DL chrome cause he didn't know how to help me with IE :-\
-
I use Opera....haven`t used IE in years now.
-
Only seniors and little kids use IE... most people that know what they're doing on a computer use firefox.. or opera

99% of the time my only use for a computer is to use Secure CRT or teraterm(terminal emulation progs) to log into a router
only reason i tell people i work with computers is cause most people dunno what a router or a switch is

old version of firefox was badass. ever since i have been on this new version if i close firefox, it lags my computer for a few seconds. annoying as fuck but still better than IE
my friend just passed the security CCIE test. he says there are only around 3000 people in the world who have that cert?

your friend is a really smart guy and he is correct....does he already have the routing and switching (R&S) CCIE?
i intend to do my routing and switching and then service provider....unless my best friend goads me into going towards the wireless track (which i have an aversion to...since i have a general aversion towards cell phones)
personally i know 1 guy that has 4 CCIEs :o ....extremly smart guy

If thats all your using it for then just download "Google Chrome"...Extremely simple to use and fast...

My Firefox tends to crash a lot on me. That crash report box appears and says it's sorry, yet it won't open a new browser and I am forced to uninstall and reinstall it at times. VERY annoying. I'm using Firefox 3.6 btw.
