Title: Which would be easier?

For a fat person to lose weight and get muscular?

A) Go on a severe starvation almost holocaust diet.  Burn up all fat and all muscle, but get down in weight fast then just bulk up to a muscular size. 

or

B) Lose weight normally by lowering cals or carbs or whatever; doing cardio and lifting heavy weights bodybuilding style.
