It's not just that he is trained by the Noguerras-- He actually reminds me of big Nog when he began fighting. Same kind of build, same kind of style with great boxing and jiujitsu-- He's a smallish 230lb dude knocking people out.
One difference between them is that he has a lot more pop to his punch that Noguerra ever did.
I have to say that I am starting to become selfish and taking the same view that UFC lackies like MindSpin take. The fans should be watching the greatest fighter of all time mix it up with these guys.
I want to see Fedor fight these guys. I dont think hes avoiding anything, its just business. He has 2 more SF fights and I am praying to god he goes to the UFC for a couple of fights to end his career.
-
in the UFC theres dos santos & cain...then theres everyone else period
-
;D ;D ;D
Dos Santos will be outed for the mediocre fighter that he is. No way he can bang with the top 5 in that weight class
-

Agree 100%. I like Dos Santos and Cain. Both are promising, but the weight disadvantage is HUGE. You are talking about guys who walk into the ring at 265-280 that have relatively little body fat. I can see Cain carrying more muscle in the future though. But it takes time.
-
Can you imagine what Dos Santos would do to Fedor!? No wonder he's staying out of the UFC...

I would much rather see Dos Santos or Cain fight Fedor.
As much as I hate Fedor's antics/Management, I hate to see anyone get demolished in the way he would against Mir,Carwin, or Lesnar
-
LMAOOOOO
Calm down there Dorothy.
Ms's comment was tongue in cheek-- ( his tongue in Dana's ass cheeks)
Yours was even more gratuitous.
While we are coming up with outrageous embellishments, why not throw Paul Buentello into that mix of guys in the UFC that would bury Fedor?

who brock, couture, mir, nog, etc... ::)
You forgot a few...Cain, Dos Santos, Carwin would all demolish Fedor.
I am glad you are finally coming to your senses.
-
bahhh ::)
fedor would either knock them out or submit them...
the only one that had a fighting chance of beating Fedor was brock before his medical Drama..
right now your kissing their asses..
but once their not with the UFC ;D
you'll start calling them cans... ::)
-
He stand up skill are light -years better than Nog´s... He is on the right track. I woul like to see him fight a striker like Kongo maybe, or (in a impossible fight) Overeem

How can you say that Brock is not as good after his 'medical drama'? Have you seen him fight yet? ::)
You are right, judging by past fighters being cut from the UFC, when they are cut, they generally are irrelevant in the top rankings. Therefore, they may be deserving of being called cans...especially when they are fighting the top ranked guys. Orgs are just using these UFC rejects/cans names to sell fights.
Besides Diaz and possibly Hendo, who has WILLINGLY left the UFC and been on the top of their game at the time of their dismissal from the UFC?

I don't understand why everyone is hailing JDS as the next coming of christ, he's beaten some good fighters, but some good fighters that lacked the wrestling that the other 3 top fighters in the UFC have. JDS has essentially been hand fed predominantly stand up fighters. Out of the top 5 HW fighters in the UFC I would rank him #5, just because he's managed to avoid fighting anybody capable of putting him on his back. He's a good stand up fighter that has beat some good stand up fighters, I think it's time he fights somebody like Cain Velasquez. Carwin himself said in a recent interview he realizes that Fedor is the best and that he only has a "punchers chance" against him. I think you need to spit some of JDS' pubes out of your mouth, it's messing up your thinking.

He just dismantled Gonzaga, who has some of the best BJJ in the Heavyweight division. Gonzaga tried taking him down and got stuffed real fast. It would be interesting to see Junior in there with a strong wrestler though. I hear he has a solid ground game, but we've yet to see it...

Try reading the entire thread. I stated previously in this thread that that Dos Santos does not stand a chance against the other HW's besides Cain. Get your shit straight before you post stupid shit. You would also realize that I am being sarcastic with gymflex in some of those posts.
Do me a favor....wipe the your cum stained glasses off and read up on here before you post stupid shit like that.
Let me make myself clear....I don't think Dos Santos has a chance with anyone else in the UFC HW division except maybe Cain. Get it?

I think you guys need to settle this in the cage :)

Off topic, but appropriate because MS and Weight are in this thread.
Yesterday I was flipping channels and came across an M1 mma event being hosted in St. Petersberg Russia.
Basically it was everyone on Red Devils roster ( all russian up and comers) fighting guys from Brazil, Holland etc. It was on free basic cable and was being broadcasted from Russia, so you can imagine how horrible it was.
Honestly it was next to unwatchable. The Russian guys completely destroyed everyone else. I sat through 6 fights ( I caught the last 15 minutes of the broadcast, so there had to be at least 10 others I missed). All 6 were stopped within 2 minutes of the first round.
Maybe M1 is making money on the other side of the globe, (or its a front for laundering russian organized crime $$$) but geezus christ what a horrible broadcast.

Gonzaga isn't even a top 10 fighter or a wrestler for that matter, if Gonzaga was able to take JDS down I can only Imagime what Brock or Cain would do.

I was refering to this gem idiot, you posted this I read it, so what's the problem, you're still riding Dana's jock harder than spin son.
-
Dos santos will wipe the floor with them all...we can go back and forth all day but it wouldnt matter...I'll just bump the thread after his next fight which will prob be against cain or carwin then we can see whats what..
-
I think I saw the same broadcast you're talking about. I sat through a couple of fights and then decided to watch a Daily Show episode I had DVRd instead. You're right, the production was horrible, but even worse was the skill level. I always though that K1 guys were supposed to be these elite strikers? Maybe it was just the few bouts I caught...

What does that have to do with you saying "Cain, Dos Santos, Carwin would all demolish Fedor"? That dosen't make your idiotic statement any better pissmop.

Let me clarify.....
Dos Santos and Cain would have a tough time against the larger HW's like Brock, Mir and Carwin.
That being said...anyone of the above would demolish Fedor.
Clear enough? Or do you need me to explain further?

Nope your ignorance and stupidity is crystal clear.

LOL
Chute nailed that one right on the money.

He's ignorant & stupid because he thinks Fedor would get demolished by Cain & JDS? ::)

Anyone on here that admits that Fedor is not the #1 HW and is fighting cans as of late, is ignorant...according to these clowns.
Oh well....someday Fedor will go away and we will have something new to disagree on.
I just hopes he has the balls to fight at least once in the UFC. That's all it will take to expose him.
-
for all the UFC guy's
the UFC does not have the best heavyweights..
so it won't make a difference...
Fedor will go down as the Best heavyweight if not the greatest MMA fighter in history..
Read the articles... The experts / analyst's call him the best... almost all fans call him the best..
even fighters have gone on record to say they can't beat Fedor ....
;D

He USED to be classified as the best by most analysts and fans....but if he doesn't fight, or continues to fight cans, that will change.
It already is.
-
The only thing that will affect his legacy is if he goes the Chuck route...
and loses the next 3 or 4 fights...
I would love to the see Fedor in the UFC...
I would love for him to clean house ....
then get inducted in the UFC hall fame...
Will it ever happen.. probably not...
Dana is too much of a control freak...
To quote Fedor: it's not about the money..
so for all the guy's ;D
he doesn't care about money...
He doesn't like the contract that binds him to be the UFC's puppet..
Fedor's legacy won't be affected because his never made it to the UFC ::)
Just look at his record...
Lets compare his record to some of the Hall of famer's ... randy, chuck, etc.... ;D
-

Exactly why he won't sign with the UFC.
I agree that Fedor WAS one of the best of his era and IS one of the best of all time.
This has nothing to do with what is going on CURRENTLY.
This is 2010....fighting has changed. He is dodging the changes.
-
::)
it could be 2012...
the UFC does not have the best
heavy weights..
If you would look at MMA as a whole...
you would understand....
But your so close minded with ur UFC obssession...
There are a lot of great fighter's outside the UFC...
A lot of great Organization's out there..
that's why i say Fedor legacy wont be affected....
just my 2 cnts....

We can agree, there are several good orgs out there and there are plenty of good fighters outside of the UFC.
That being said, the UFC is the 'big leagues' of MMA. Getting to the UFC is what most fighters work towards.
They have MOST of the best LW,WW,MW,and HW fighters in MMA. To say otherwise is just spewing jealousy.
-
oh shit.... :o
i actually agree with u... :-X
for the most part ;D
except the Heavyweights..
They do have some good heavyweights...
looking forward to this weekends fight between Carwin vs. Mir... more than GSP vs. Hardy..
my money is on MIR...

WHAT.....we agree on something??? what fun is that :)
I agree with you again about this weekends fights. The Carwin/Mir and Alves/Fitch fights are more exciting to me than the GSP/Hardy fight.
I'm going with Mir and Fitch.
Great card!
-
don't forget Ben Saunders vs ellenburger...that could be fight of the night...lookin forward to sat card alot...
goin to watch an amateur MMA event from 6-9..then hittin BW3's for beer, wings, and UFC fights....Saturday cant come fast enough... :D

Which org has the best heavyweights? Don't give me that shit about one great heavyweight here and another one over there, as a collective whole division, what org has the best HW's if not the UFC?
-
Fedor, Barnett, Overeem, Rogers, Werdum, Silva + a bunch of nobodies
Brock, Mir, Velasquez, Dos Santos, Carwin+ Kongo+ a bunch of nobodies
I would give the UFC an edge over SF/Dream when Brock is around. Without Brock in the picture it's basically a toss up.

I am a UFC fan...but the division is pretty stacked without Brock. Brock provides entertaining fights/match-ups more than he shows talent.
Comparing these two lists further proves that we need one 'org' as the respected belt holder. Otherwise, it will turn into boxing with 327.2215 belts.

Ohio is a hot bed for MMA...there is an armature MMA event nearly every weekend somewere....On top of that the NAASF is in Cleveland all the time....If you like watching live MMA fights Ohio has um and often...I'm not sure who is putting the one on Saturday but there is 16 fights on the card for 3-4 hours of entertainment for $20 bucks you cant beat it...
