These are leaked pics of the 700 HP Ferrari 599 GTO. To make it bodybuilding related, Jay Cutler should get this to celebrate his recent move to MD--show AMI what he's working with. ;D

I've already returned mine actually.
I'm just going to buy a Harrier jet and be done with it

Ferrari's are curvy, Lambos are angular, but the Ferrari 599 GTO is the roadgoing version of 599XX, plus it has 700 hp, which the heavy Lambo does not.

damn. just damn.
I haven't really liked many recent Ferrari's but that is a damn nice car.
-
I have 3 of them (red, yellow and black) on pre-order.

Better than all the above posted so far (especially when you consider price) ;)

False. The Vette offers great bang for the buck, but since the thing handles like shit and can't put any of it's massive power to the ground efficiently, it's not as good of a car as it could be.
The only better thing about the Vette is the price, but if you can spend 100k on a Vette, you can afford to drop 200k on a real sports car.

It most certainly does NOT handle like shit , it handles exceptionally well which is part of the reason it destroys almost everything around The Ring , it's handling is very knife edge and takes a very skilled person to wring the full potential out of the car
And the Z06 is a real sports car in every sense of the word

So you're saying that there have been no negative reports regarding the zo6's 600+ bhp and it's ability to put that power to the ground during testing?

Agreed....Vettes rule.
everybody should own a vette once in their life

So you're saying that there have been no negative reports regarding the zo6's 600+ bhp and it's ability to put that power to the ground during testing?
No in fact I'm agreeing it takes a very skilled driver to wring the best out of the car , no launch control , and a plain Jane 6 speed manual with 600+ going to the rear wheels means it's not going to be easy getting that power to the ground especially compared to a all-wheel driver , launch control semi-automatic which favors less skilled drivers

Z06< ZR1. Z06, 500+ track model for the enthusiast. ZR1, $100,000 model that basically blows the doors off the high brow compwtition. The Brief for the ZR1, "If we can build the Z06 for 50K, what would a 100K Vette be like?" The ZR1 has a multilayer traction control, that if one is not used to, they can eff up. But, once you know it...
ZR1 7.22.6 around The Ring, Viper ACR 7.22.1 around the Ring.

As a multiple vette owner, i can say the only truth to this is the great bang for the buck..

year after year all these cars still look the same ::)

When you start to push the limits, and are pushing for lower Cd. And smaller frontal areas, they all start to take on similar shapes. Even if the designers try to add character and flair. The most aerodynamic shape is a teardrop, if it wasn't for the designers all hyper cars would look like that :-\

looks like there is something we agree on :)
Only problem is where I live you can only really drive it for 6 months a year due to the snowy winters.

When I was younger I was into the sports cars more. Not the real nice though, My dream car was Triumph TR6. My mom had one in storage, never drove it and sold it for 3 times what she paid for it. I had a chance to get a TR6 with a new fire engine red paint and a brand blueprinted 289 in it. Unreal car. But the old guy wouldn't sell it to me. My very first car was a 1959 MGA. That was a cool car. I have owned 3 66 Mustangs which are really nice. I was the 66 Mustang expert at my high school in autoshop. Had a really nice CJ7 that got stolen. Had one of 250 made Trans Am Firebird identical to the one used in Smokey and the Bandit. Had a cool little plaque in it. After that I had a new black no trim/no emblems 1986 Mustang GT convertible 5.0 which was the last year the had carbs. That car was just really fast. My mom had a new 280Z when they first came out. In fact she had the very first one sold in LA. That car was fast as hell at least back then. I had a key made and would drive it on weekends when my parents went up to our cabin in my dads truck. Watched Cannonball Run and afterwards me and my girlfrind went driving around fast. After that I got into SUV/Trucks. When I moved to Hawaii my first car was a jacked up Bronco. Then I bought a stock Jeep Cherokee and in one week I had it painted white, new off road tires and rims and a complete new suspension system by Rancho and tinted the windows. I loved that car. Then I got a 67 convertible Firebird which is probably my all time favorite regular car. I had a nice Porsche 935 slantnose with a custom candy apple red paint job. That car drew alot of looks. So I have had a few sports cars. My friends were more into them. My uncle had the 2nd sold Ferrari Testarossa in LA which was really really nice. My bro I think has a new Vette now but not sure. He was always to big for them

Noworries, your mention of the 280Z brought back memories. I had helped my aunt pick our hers in 1982-83, I was about 5 or 6. She had a choice between that and the Porsche 944, she asks me which one to get because the 280Zs rears seats were bigger than the Porsche, which me and my sister would bd sitting in. I told her the 280z, and so the 280z it was...now I wish it was the Porsche.

Best bet would be the Evo X or Subaru WRX STI or a Mustang. You could also look into a 370z or the Infiniti G37 if you like Luxury...with the BMW you maybe are to find a couple 335i coupes for that, but the maintenance is gonna be a doozy. You also try the Lexus IS350 certified used. I've seen them for about that much as I have seen the Infiniti G37 coupe, asxa matter fact, test drove one for 31k. Look at dealer Internet prices and specials for deals.

A Porsche specialist near me is selling a used, great conditioned 964 911 Turbo for 24k!? Beautiful turquoise-blue.

I would love to get an older air-cooled 911 but it's not to practical at this time in my life. if it's a turbo for that price I'd be wary , that's cheap for a turbo

In the US can't you get a base Vette for that price and year/mileage? If so it beats the rest of the cars you mentioned :)

You ever see the movie starring Charlie Sheen called No Man's Land. It was about stealing Porsche's (mostly). The one above was his 935 black car in the movie my friend had it painted. How about this one. Could have picked it up for a cool $750,000. I could have gotten it for less for you
-
Gotta love the Vette and its old, old school pushrod V8 still puts much more expensive high-end imported sports cars to shame. The only sports cars I've owned(well, more like rattletraps) were F-bodies. I just picked up my fourth (a used '00 ls1 Trans Am) where I'm in the process of building it into a high 10s deep 11s cam-only car. Figured it'd be more efficient and cost effective than trying to get my Dodge Ram down the quarter in less than 15 seconds.
$30k for a hot car? Mustangs are for women, G37/370Z are for middle-aged assholes who will never modify 'em, and BMW and Mercedes...wait, you can't buy a decent BMW or Mercedes for under 70 grand, and if you do buy a BMW or MB for under 70 grand.....you're a moronic asshole, especially if you like performance vehicles.
The Challenger is my dream car though, and the Camaro looks cool.

You can possibly get a base vette for that, but the insurance would eat a young up, besides, the base Vette tends to attract the "goldchain" wearing set. Once into the Z06, ZR1, where people with money tend be. But Porsche people and Vette people are different. Vette people like the bang for the buck, and don't mind a sucky interior that smells like glue (Z06 on a hot day).Porsche people like the German feel and quality interior, and the fact that the engine is in the wrong place. And are expensive to fix.
One if lucky could find a 3 yr old Z06 for 31k, but that might be rare because the people want to keep them, and I would inquire about the previous owner dogging that car out on the track. I knew a guy with the C5 Z06, and he was always at VIR.
But, the cars listed have almost equal pace, they run the gammant of AWD to RWD and luxury and track, also quality. One also has to think about perception and usability. The 370Z and the Corvette are 2 seaters.
ND, when I was in college I had a opportunity to get a 911 SC targa, someone was "curbstoning" it, and I realized that the car would have needed about 20-30k worth of work to it. I estimated that by using Excellence Magazine's guide to 911s.

Since I am paying cash , wouldn't a better deal be to buy from an individual as opposed to a dealership?

in before XFactor says Lamborghini's are better

Possibly, but if you do it thru a private seller, make sure they have all service records a get a Carfax on the car, which doesn't eliminate non-reported accidents. Bring someone who knows the car and any mods on it. That is a out all I know about private sellers. I'm ignorant when it comes to that.
