I watched some of his speech to the troops. Sounded like a lukewarm reception compared to past presidential visits. I can't even listen the man anymore.

More wasted tax dollars.
He is just trying to divert attention away from the healcare mess.

'More wasted tax dollars. '
What was a waste? Him flying there?

Yes. Most of those soldiers probably dont want to see him in the first place and he is there for a photo op only.

Was it a waste when Bush made the trip?

Was it a waste when Bush made the trip?
Yes. This is all to make the news tonight to get off the topic of health care. His bounce is over and his ratings are heading down again.

Nah man. I disagree. The CIC should be visiting troops in theater. Not a waste of money. I don't mind paying. But I know a substantial number of them don't like him.

Was it a waste when Palin visited the troops?
I mean, as a political candidate, her visit was mostly to grow her foreign experience from 3 countries (USA, Canada, Mexico) to include some new places. I think she even included the nations where she was on the runway for 5 min and never exited the plane, oddly.
Anyway, if the Commander-in-Chief visiting the troops at war during the Holy Week just before they begin a huge assault on the Taleban stronghold of Kandahar is a "waste" as you say... what would you call Ms. Palin's visit?
-
240 - this is the first trip this communist asshole has made there since taking office. Dont you think he could have went when he spent those many many weeks in europe asia or other places?
This is all about diverting the news away from health care and nothing else.

According to the Washington Post...
Bush's first trip to Afghanistan was 3/01/06
His second trip to Afghanistan was 8/05/07

And your point by bringing up Bush again is? ? ? ? ?

Is going to say how well its going over there when in actuality there have been three times as many soldiers killed since January?
-
We lost a lot of troops in iraq during the surge too. When you 'take the fight to the enemy', you kill a lot more of them, and yes, more soldiers die, sadly.
We're essentially using a surge in Afghanistan now. Deaths are double what they were last year, yes. But we're making more progress than we did for the last 8 years of stalemating there.
-
we lost more lives on the tex mex boarder, due to drug cartel, almost double in 2009 than all 8 years of war 240 why are you not crying about that
-
to bad bam bam dont run into osama and they were forced to fight to the death america would be in a win win situation no matter the outcome
-

I've said a hundred times, we should mine the borders. Any illegals should have a leg broken and dropped off at southernmost tip of MEX. Prob solved.

To show the hypocrisy and contradictions of your delusions.
Quite successfully at that too I might add.
Change your tampon, your whining is old.

I was never a big fan of Bush.
Plus, I thought MAObama was supposed to be the anti-bush no?
Next.

So you support the POTUS not going to visit the troops in a time of war. Is that what you are saying?

Did my tax money pay for Palin to go there?
-
Of course he should, but why now?
Then when?
-
Then when?
how about when he went on his world apology tour last year? Or the bid for the olympics? Or how about when he went for the nobel peace prize?

What is the standard measure of time line that is acceptable? Just what YOU think it is?
