Ford to sell Volvo to China's Geely for $1.8 bln

BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- Ford Motor Co. /quotes/comstock/13*!f/quotes/nls/f (F 13.86, +0.06, +0.43%) on Sunday said it has reached an agreement to sell Volvo Car Corp. to Zhejiang Geely Holding Group of China for $1.8 billion. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter, Ford said in a press release. Ford will not retain any ownership in Volvo.

Great move on Ford's part. Was a useless and dying brand. In case you haven't noticed, the people at Ford have turned that company around quite nicely. But then again, you don't know shit.  :D
