Christopher Klucsaritis (January 4, 1970 – April 2, 2010) was an American professional wrestler, best known for his work in World Championship Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation, under the ring names Chris Kanyon (or simply Kanyon) and Mortis.[1]
Died at age 40.

Chris Klucsaritis, who competed as Chris Kanyon, was found dead Friday night at his apartment in the Sunnyside section of Queens, New York. He was 40 years old.
Klucsaritis' death is believed to be suicide as a longtime friend reports that a pill bottle and several notes were found close to his body.
He had been vocal about suffering from a bipolar disorder and had threatened suicide many times in the past according to those close with him. He told one friend as recently as Monday that he was going through another bout of depression and contemplating suicide.
Kanyon also worked as a masked character named Mortis in World Championship Wrestling and had a run with World Wrestling Entertainment beginning in 2001 which resulted in reigns with the WCW United States Championship and WWF Tag Team Championship. He garnered headlines following his 2004 departure from WWE by going public with his homosexuality and claiming WWE fired him for being gay. Although he retired from wresting at one point, he returned to the ring and worked matches on occasion.
He, along with Scott Levy and Michael Sanders, attempted to sue WWE for "cheating them out of health care and other benefits" but a federal judge in Stamford, Connecticut dismissed the case."
Knew how to party though lol

there seems to be a major price to pay for being a professional wrestler :-\

Yeah the price of being on the road 26 days a month, wrestling 5X per week, being in a different city every couple of days (sometimes every day), finding hotels, finding gyms, finding women, doing painkillers and other recreational drugs is a horrible price to pay. Dont forget these guys have to find their own way to every city/arena and do all of these things with their money. Everything comes out of their pockets, so they are basically subcontractors which doesnt even make wrestling worth it. There are easier ways to make a living in life.
-
you sure vince doesn't pay for their flights and hotels?
E
-
that being said these guys are getting paid good money to do what they love...the average WWE wrestler makes substantially more money than the average MMA fighter....these guys get to see the world fuck top notch pussy and get paid to do it...yea some find drugs and go off the deep end and die young...oh well...I would rather live 40 years doin what I love and having a blast than live 60 years doin shit work I hate barely makin enough to get by..
Most on getbig I'm sure would jump at an opportunity to live the life these entertainers do....

yes he does even the mid level wrestlers are takin good care of....
-

E
Vince might possible give them a per-diam or allowance to cover it. Or give them an extra $50 000 at the end of the year to pay for it, not sure though. The smaller orgs definitely dont do any of that.
