Steele is still standing strong, however.
A great voice for the party?

I don't think so, but I'm not a member of the party so it's really up to them. I'm surprised he's lasted this long.

And the GOP keeps on a-crumblin'.....

Good. Time for a new party.

the best thing the repubs can do, to beat a lot of dems in 2010, is to move in some new people without so much stink on them.
steele is just an embrassment. When guys like Tony perkins are saying 'dont send your money to the GOP', it's a huge problem. I can't imagine their fundraising for fall is going well.

That would be the best thing both parties can do. Or the best thing the people could do is demand a change from the two party system and stop voting for them rank and file.

RNC claims that over 800 TRILLION was raised.
Either someone is raising something or the RNC is flat out lying.

Their super secret Scooby Doo RNC 2010 campaign strategy guide :
http://www.politico.com/static/PPM136_100303_rnc_finance_leadership.html
states on slide 10 : “In 2009 the RNC raised a total of $81,225,000 million”
Either they are lying or it was obviously prepared by some math & science hating christian conservative that had no idea that the claim of 81,225,000 million actually translated into. (hint : $81.255 trillion)

That alone should get him fired.

Top RNC Fundraiser Resigns Over Steele Controversy
Monday, April 5, 2010 01:20 PM

The resignation of perhaps the Republican National Committee's No. 1 fundraiser sent another signal Monday of ongoing turmoil within the organization.
Sam Fox, a U.S. ambassador to Belgium under former President George W. Bush, has left his post, according to a report by Politico's Ben Smith.
Another top GOP fundraiser told Smith that Fox had "lost confidence" in RNC Chairman Michael Steele, and was "deeply troubled by the pattern of self-inflicted wounds and missteps" at the RNC.
Fox was working pro bono for the RNC as co-chairman of the Republican Regents, its top fundraising board.
Fox was "one of the RNC's few remaining connections to the deep-pocketed Republican establishment and was viewed as the heaviest hitter among its fundraisers," Smith wrote.

Steele claims he is being held to a higher standard than others simply because he is black. Just like Obama.
"African Americans such as Obama and myself are being held to a higher standard".
Race card alert!!!

Utterly embarassing all around. Time to get rid of the GOP.

Ha,ha,yes, being the chairman ,and not raising money, and getting knocked for it is racial. The ONLY reason they havent fired him yet is they are scared at being called racist.

I dont think race has a damn thing to do about it.
He is continually making gaffes, hasn't policed things like titty bar trips with GOP money, embarassed the party by spending a ton of $ to move the convention from Wash DC to Hawaii....
And above all, in a time when he should be earning RECORD amounts of cash to defeat the dems in the fall, he ain't earning.
He's a terrible leader, and the GOP needs someone strong, someone known, and someone shrewd and respected, to take the job. IMAGINE the $ that would come rolling in tomorrow if you had a guy like Jeb Bush come in, fire a few people, and take a public stance that every cent you send the GOP will be used wisely.

No more damn Bushes!
-
Steele is only fracturing the party more and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it. They are stuck with him.

We need Schiff's, Wynns', Pauls', etc.
No more of these idiots like Bush, Steele, McCain, Graham,. etc. .
-
'No more damn Bushes! '
I dunno dude.
I want the GOP to succeed and flourish to deliver a strong alternative to dems in 10 and 12. Do you know of a repub who has his shit together, is as intelligent, good looking, experienced, and as well-connected as Jeb? Shit, jeb would have made a much better prez than Dubya, and he probably would be a very solid pick in 2016 or 2020 once the cheney/bush era stink is a memory.

Please God no more Bushes.
I would rather have 240 for Prez than another Bush.

Good. Time for a new party.
bingo. again, just like a broken clock being correct twice every 24 hours, I agree with you! for now, I'll settle for both a GOP and TEA party...;)
