Alcohol is one of the worst drugs out there.
There are 3 different types of people who love alcohol.
1. People who have never done other kinds of drugs. So they just drink and don't know any better. They don't realize there are better drugs.
2. The alcoholic types. Who use alcohol for it's numbing effect of putting you into an oblivious state. Make them problems disapear. These are mostly the homeless drunks and other degenerate alcoholics with a tond of mental problems.
3. Some freaks out there actually like the alcohol effects for one reason or another. Bonehead college students and teenagers make up the bulk of this category.
Personally, I think many other things are far superior.
Weed, LSD, GHB, Valium, Ambian, Shrooms, and almost every sedative pill i've ever tried is better than booze.
When I get drunk, it just makes me numb and oblivious. When I fuck while drunk, i'm so numb it doesn't feel good. It doesn't increase creativity or give psychedelic insights. It's just kind of a weak buzz that lacks depth.

I don't understand how you can say Ambien is better than alcohol, the few times I have taken it I was completely passed out within 15 minutes so it is hardly what I would describe as a "superior drug".

I rarely drink. I will have a beer or two, but I never get drunk or anything. Never seen the point of getting drunk. I don't do any other drugs. Heck, I never even tried a cigarette before.

In low doses Ambien can put you into this really trippy, hypnotized sort of state. It makes you feel high as hell.
Lower the dosage and enjoy.

Smoking weed is so relaxing. Breathing in the smoke, exhaling it and watching the smoke slowly flow up into the air...... so awesome.
Also the taste and smell. Delicious.

Lucky you don't live in Australia. If you don't drink here there's something wrong with you.
Not saying i didn't. I did now and then until 18 but i got over it and had other shit i wanted to do than just get drunk and have hangovers. You can really see the aging effect in people who drink/do other drugs consistently vs those who don't at the age of 30. Training makes you look younger too but i think the negative effects of drinking/drugs ads more to the aging than training/eating better can take away.

In social situations, no drug is better at allowing me to feel free of social awkwardness and enjoy myself. of course, that's assuming I don't go overboard (which happens more often than not).
However, you are right, the general feeling associated with alcohol is not pleasant and hangovers are a bitch. Ergo, if I'm just chilling at home, a few puffs of some really good dank does me proper.
Psychadelics are too much of a mindfuck to be pleasant. Stims are great if you like feeling edgy. Painkillers make me puke. I do enjoy the feeling of benzos but I avoid them because I can't remember shit during the time they are active in my system.

the NFL, NBA, MLb and every sports and athletic association across the globe also have very athletic pot smokers who are the opposite of lazy.
weed desnt make anyone lazy, although alot of people get very sedated when high, and alot lose motivation they usually have to be "productive" (definition of productive as 'industriousness' or "dollar productive")
weed forces people to examine certain things for what they really are, and alot of people figure out that money and material goods are nice but they dont mean shit compared to peace of mind and happyness.. when people get high they sometimes see how much happyness is missing from their daily life(contrast compared to sober life) and they decide to do less "productive" things and do more internally productive things.. or just things to make them more happy...albeit sometimes at the expense of long term quality of life (in terms of material goods and financial standings)

Getting high once in a blue moon can be a good for a release, but to be getting high everyday to escape reality isn't something I'd recommend. You don't see anything clear when you're high, you just think you do.

I just did a little research on this movie. I think these kids were pretty F'd in the head anyway but all were G addicts amoung other drugs. I haven't seen the movie but I'm doubting G is what caused all of these deaths, more so these guys having F'd up lives regardless. I want to see this though, looks interesting

I just did a little research on this movie. I think these kids were pretty F'd in the head anyway but all were G addicts amoung other drugs. I haven't seen the movie but I'm doubting G is what caused all of these deaths, more so these guys having F'd up lives regardless. I want to see this though, looks interesting

Usually in rehab they are put on heavy doses of benzos instead and then they try to wean off that but the GABA system is very sensitive and it's very hard to restore once it's fucked.
If someone here has been addicted to this substance maybe they can comment. Derek Anthony was addicted he said. I bet he isn't clean clean though but on benzos and sleeping pills instead.

Funny this thread should start actually....had just this conversation with a mate today. I decided to stop drinking for a couple of months, so tonight instead of just heading to the pub and polishing off a few whilst having a chat, we actually had to think of shit to do, ended up going for a long walk thru central london and seeing some cool little bits and pieces i never noticed before.
Drinking on a friday is so ingrained in english culture, but the whole thing is done to excess and is the only way a lot of boring twats can 'be themselves', or unwind after a hard week. I like a drink (i love red wine, and most beers) but people take it too far over here, it gets boring, as i said i feel shit loads better today for having not drunk. But i dont think i would want to go without it, drinking in moderation is where it's at. Too much and your weekend's a write off.

LEt's just say I had a friend in rehab because of G. I was very close to him. He has never been the same and took him 3 stints in rehab to finally cure himself of doing G every day, every couple hours of each day. That and the fact he had it made in every way and went bankrupt because of it. I had another friend, closely involved in it, more of a parttime addict but he got over it and never touches the shit anymore. He didn't need rehab. That shit seems like heaven the first year or so but once it becomes a daily thing, you're pretty much fuked.

I agree. When I go to the party areas in the city where everyone is drinking I find the drunk people to be the most annoying mother fuckers in the world. The men get violent and belligerant and their ego runs out of control. And the women get stupid.
Drunk women are good though, because they are easy to have sex with.
That's the only really good thing about booze. It makes women loosen right up like magic.
But of course the downside of this is that lots of drunken people end up having bareback sex with people they barely know, and they get diseases. Seen it happen.

hash takes you to a whole other level. you can never get as high on weed as you can get off one good hit of hash. smoke 10 fat blunts of grand daddy purple and you wont feel like you will off a nice rip of some hash..

some people start to get bits of paranoia or anxiety when they smoke weed...and those feelings escalate, in those people, with increasing amounts of weed smoked.. i find that hash completely "jumps over" alll of those effects...

Yes this is true but I found if I am drunk first the anxiety does not happen. If you are not drunk first I find that if you wait out the anxiety then it will pass as the drug takes effect. I only smoked hash once over 20 years ago and it didn't do too much. It probably sucked. Tasted good though.
That's one of the reasons why I never got into pot. I got a real bad panic attack from it. It was one of the most awful experiences in my life, I thought I was having a heart attack and that I was going to die. Luckily it wore off and nothing became of it. If I start off with a few drinks, it won't do it to me. You guys are right. Alcohol changes things. One time I got so stoned I just sat on my couch in a stupor, every minute that passed seemed like an eternity. I could barely utter a word. I don't know how people function on it.
I'm through with that shit though. It's been over 10 years and I'm not looking back.

Alcohol is one of the worst drugs out there.
There are 3 different types of people who love alcohol.
1. People who have never done other kinds of drugs. So they just drink and don't know any better. They don't realize there are better drugs.
2. The alcoholic types. Who use alcohol for it's numbing effect of putting you into an oblivious state. Make them problems disapear. These are mostly the homeless drunks and other degenerate alcoholics with a tond of mental problems.
3. Some freaks out there actually like the alcohol effects for one reason or another. Bonehead college students and teenagers make up the bulk of this category.
Personally, I think many other things are far superior.
Weed, LSD, GHB, Valium, Ambian, Shrooms, and almost every sedative pill i've ever tried is better than booze.
When I get drunk, it just makes me numb and oblivious. When I fuck while drunk, i'm so numb it doesn't feel good. It doesn't increase creativity or give psychedelic insights. It's just kind of a weak buzz that lacks depth.

New girfriend, new job, new hobbies, it inspired me to change everything in my life, I was acting different and carrying myself differently afterwards, I became much more mature and enlightened. I really miss weed, and occasionally mushrooms. I'd rather smoke weed over getting drunk any time. I love having a cold beer or 3 on a summer day but if I'm looking to get buzzed the green is so much better than beer.

In high school I had a buddy who took a high dose of LSD, 10 hits. He had a bad trip and ran into the gynasium full of an elementary school when it was full of kids and teachers. He started going crazy, throwing things, screaming. They had a ping pong table in the corner and he did a full on football tackle to it.
The cops came quick and they beat him down. Took him to the station and threw him in solitary confinement. After the LSD effects worse off he still had really bad anxiety, post traumatic stress, and other mental issues. The intensity of the trip just made something deep inside him snap. A few weeks afterwards, they sent him to a mental institution for long term treatment.
I took the same dosage as him on that day, and I just wondered around with a huge smile on my face, totally tripping out, having bizarre hallucinations. But I kept control of myself and I didn't lose my grip on reality.
These drugs can make you have the most intense, beautiful, mystical experiences. Or they can make you have the most terrifying, twisted, fucked up experiences. They aren't a joke. They aren't social drugs like alcohol or weed or GHB.

I smoke all the time and I am active as ever. The key to marijuana is not getting into the popular idea that you need more than a single hit. A lot of people take multiples or sit in rotation and keep passing it through. That will make you wanna just sit there and analyze everything for what it is. I'd say this is preferable on weekends maybe. Single hits bring your mind clarity.

The problem with your theory is that some people have a predisposed personality towards addiction, and casual use is simply not possible. true to an extent! depends on tolerance. there is definitely a threshold that most people pass quickly. for more experienced smokers the threshold takes a little more weed to reach. hash jumps way over any threshold into a whole new realm.

The problem with your theory is that some people have a predisposed personality towards addiction, and casual use is simply not possible. Nice, I always wanted to try a ice bong. One time we filled the bong with some ice and then put in lots of snow. Then just a little bit of LISTERINE (mouthwash) in it and it was really good. You should try just putting a little listerine (even if you don't have ice/snow). The bong rip gets a nice menthol taste.

Alcohol is one of the worst drugs out there.
There are 3 different types of people who love alcohol.
1. People who have never done other kinds of drugs. So they just drink and don't know any better. They don't realize there are better drugs.
2. The alcoholic types. Who use alcohol for it's numbing effect of putting you into an oblivious state. Make them problems disapear. These are mostly the homeless drunks and other degenerate alcoholics with a tond of mental problems.
3. Some freaks out there actually like the alcohol effects for one reason or another. Bonehead college students and teenagers make up the bulk of this category.
Personally, I think many other things are far superior.
Weed, LSD, GHB, Valium, Ambian, Shrooms, and almost every sedative pill i've ever tried is better than booze.
When I get drunk, it just makes me numb and oblivious. When I fuck while drunk, i'm so numb it doesn't feel good. It doesn't increase creativity or give psychedelic insights. It's just kind of a weak buzz that lacks depth.

I haven't tried all those drugs, but weed just makes me feel weird and not great, some of the others alter your brain permanently for the worse, which doesn't appeal. Alcohol, hpwever, is AWESOME! haha, it makes me feel awesome, and although sitting in a chair and drinking can make one tired, if you're in pub or club it's fucking amazing. I think of the 3 types you describe I am closest to the college bonehead type, but since many adults drink a decent amount of wine or beer in the week regularly their whole lives I think there is a whole 4th type you've not included.

I think alcohol shows irresponsibility is out there and it's the most prominent danger, far more so than marijuana ever could be legal or not. But that is a good point. As far as lungs go... I've had issues with that when I was smoking too much ion the range of 3 grams a day but that was an ugly time in my life at 17 years old lol. I've since become more tame and smoke about 5 times a week at best. My lungs are in better shape through intense cardio and regular weight training. I think problems posed by drugs like cigarettes and alcohol are far worse than marijuana and they're already out there. I just thought about it amplifying the stupidity of people. It's been a long time since I smoked with an idiot, but I remember the dumb kids got dumber on it. Maybe you're right about the others being negatively effected.

Yes, irresponsible use like this is what gives LSD and other psychedelic drugs really bad names. They're incredibly good for the mind if used right, but people try to use them exclusively for the high, overdose and act like morons. Thinking 10 hits is a good idea is crazy. Asking to go nuts.
By that time I had already done LSD at least 100 times, so I was an experienced user and taking 10 hits was pushing the limits, but I handled it well.
Sometimes taking extremely high doses can still be considered responsible use.
This guy who went crazy. It was only his 3rd time doing it. He was kind of a macho cuunt, and he took the ten hits just to show he had the balls to do it. But he got in way over his head.
It was quite a crazy day. We were all hanging out together and he started saying all this nonsense. It's like he was living out fantasies in his head and acting them out, he was acting like he was other characters sometimes he would speak in a woman's voice as if he thought he was a woman talking to someone, he totally lost his grip on reality and he seemed to have forgotten that he was tripping, he just totally went into another world.
Then he suddenly ran away as fast as whe could like a wild man. We were yelling at him to come back but he was just running as hard as he could and there was no stopping him, and we didn't know what happened to him.
Then he turned up about a week later telling us this story of police beating him up with their faces morphing into demons and dragging him into the pits of hell, and other fucked up shit. And he just wasn't the same.
I also wandered off alone too when I started peaking. But I just quietly walked around town having bizarre hallucinations. I remember seeing lasers being shot at me, and I looked up in the sky and saw swirling lights and objects, the whole sky was alive like a pile of insects. Cars were morphing in dragons and huge living beasts, houses were morphing like huge transformers. The whole world was just a morphing, transforming, out of control freakshow. Things were morphing so much that the hallucinations became full and I couldn't tell what was real or not anymore. At one point I had a conversation with a 15 foot tall ogre, and I still don;t know if it was a real person or not. But at that point I realized I needed to get out of the streets.
Eventually I went into a big park and I went to this secluded area by a river and tripped out alone, because I was getting really paranoid, thinking people were staring at me, and my face looked so crazy I had to get away from the public. And in cases like that it's best to just go somewhere and be alone. We were stupid to do this outside, we should have done it in a nice safe house. But we were 15 years old at the time so we were stupid.
This is a 10 hit trip though. If you only take 1 or 2 hits you'll just see glowing colors, vibrating surfaces, and have much more mild hallucinations. And you can even act fairly normal in public usually.
If you've never done it. You're missing out on one of life's most intense and awesome experiences.

I come from a very dedicated alcoholic family and even had to learn how to drive a car around the age of ten or so so I could pick my folks up from the neighborhood bar when the phone rang and the bartender was on the other end.
And some professional alcoholics claim that alcoholism skips generations so it your folks are drunks, you won't be, but your kids will be. So far that has proven to be 100% correct.
So I am a two or three drink person and have never really gotten drunk except on a couple of rare occasions which have always been interesting experiences.
One thing I've noticed which might be a common factor for each of us .... but when I have a couple of glasses of wine, I fall asleep within the hour and have dreams in which I could swear that I was actually there and not in a bed sleeping someplace.
I mean those dreams seem to be more real than reality itself. And on numerous occasions those same dreams repeat themselves.
On one such occasion I had a "Salvator Dali" type dream where four very strange things occured under very strange conditions. At the 'end' of that dream I returned to the original starting point and redrempt the whole thing over again but this time everything that was strange in the beginning became absolute clear and understandable when I traveled through it the second time. Many people in that dream even said "Welcome back!" in the second part.
I play Poker with 'shrinks' a few times each month and I tried to explain this dream sequence and one of the docs asked me if I had drunk some wine that evening because there is something in wine called tanem(?) that releases or opens brain cells that produce very strange and very realistic dream sequences.
Anyone else have such experiences after drinking wine? I just opened a bottle to see if it works tonite.

I play Poker with 'shrinks' a few times each month and I tried to explain this dream sequence and one of the docs asked me if I had drunk some wine that evening because there is something in wine called tanem(?) that releases or opens brain cells that produce very strange and very realistic dream sequences.
Anyone else have such experiences after drinking wine? I just opened a bottle to see if it works tonite.

Alcohol is one of the worst drugs out there.
There are 3 different types of people who love alcohol.
1. People who have never done other kinds of drugs. So they just drink and don't know any better. They don't realize there are better drugs.
2. The alcoholic types. Who use alcohol for it's numbing effect of putting you into an oblivious state. Make them problems disapear. These are mostly the homeless drunks and other degenerate alcoholics with a tond of mental problems.
3. Some freaks out there actually like the alcohol effects for one reason or another. Bonehead college students and teenagers make up the bulk of this category.
Personally, I think many other things are far superior.
Weed, LSD, GHB, Valium, Ambian, Shrooms, and almost every sedative pill i've ever tried is better than booze.
When I get drunk, it just makes me numb and oblivious. When I fuck while drunk, i'm so numb it doesn't feel good. It doesn't increase creativity or give psychedelic insights. It's just kind of a weak buzz that lacks depth.
What do you think?

I come from a very dedicated alcoholic family and even had to learn how to drive a car around the age of ten or so so I could pick my folks up from the neighborhood bar when the phone rang and the bartender was on the other end.
And some professional alcoholics claim that alcoholism skips generations so it your folks are drunks, you won't be, but your kids will be. So far that has proven to be 100% correct.
So I am a two or three drink person and have never really gotten drunk except on a couple of rare occasions which have always been interesting experiences.
One thing I've noticed which might be a common factor for each of us .... but when I have a couple of glasses of wine, I fall asleep within the hour and have dreams in which I could swear that I was actually there and not in a bed sleeping someplace.
I mean those dreams seem to be more real than reality itself. And on numerous occasions those same dreams repeat themselves.
On one such occasion I had a "Salvator Dali" type dream where four very strange things occured under very strange conditions. At the 'end' of that dream I returned to the original starting point and redrempt the whole thing over again but this time everything that was strange in the beginning became absolute clear and understandable when I traveled through it the second time. Many people in that dream even said "Welcome back!" in the second part.

While I agree and definitely know what you're saying, don't you find being sober empowers you more during those 9-5 days? I used to party weekends to escape reality, but I'd pay the price during the weekdays. Now that I don't party, the mon-fri grind seems a lot easier to be honest and even a tad more tolerable. But I do get what you're saying and it's tough staying sober on weekends; you do need some sort of release and escape or shit gets fuking boring.

I don't binge on the weekends anymore...left that shit back in the 90s...had my 10-12 years of pissing my weekends up a wall and going to work tired and hungover.....dont miss those days at all....great f'king memories though...lol

Yeah that's the same thing I took.
I just took a 2 foot tall cactus and made the extract out of it. It had me tripping pretty well.
I don't know about grams and mgs of mescaline. I usually just do a 2 foot long section of cactus and it's a good strong dose. But every cactus is different, some are stronger or weaker.
I knew I was tripping well when I walked into a store to buy something, and I forgot why I walked in there and just walked back out confused.

I read that 100-200mgs of mescalin is a mild body high trip tho, you think 140mgs is ok for a newbie?
I don't know anything about mescaline dosages in terms of mgs. I like think of it in terms of the length of the cactus, or the number of peyote buttons.
Just take a really big dose. On mescaline it's really hard to have a bad trip, so even if it's really intense it make you feel happy sort of like a stimulant.
With acid you should be more careful, with mescaline just dive in.

In most countries they sell San Pedro cactuses in gardening and plant shops.
I always bought mine at regular plant shops. One time I bought one at a Home Depot. I never bought it online. In the USA it's totally legal.
I think almost any normal online plant or cactus shop would have it.
You should plant some and let it grow really big, then enjoy. That's what I did.
Maybe you're better off getting some Salvia? That shit is good, powerful and cheap.

I've already tried salvia man, it was weird as fuck :D :D, the one I tried was only 15x tho, so it wasn't that strong. I will try it again sometime but I want to try mescaline first..

Forgot to ask, how long did it take to plant it?
It grows really slowly. I started them about 7 months ago at about 1 foot, now they are about a foot and a half. I'm gonna eat them all though within the next few weeks.
Next weekend I might go out to this small island and trip out island style. Gonna be groovy 8)

That alcohol and acid combo is crazy. There's no way I could drive like that. You have the visual distortions, ego trip, and psychedelic effect of the acid, combined with the out of balance, impaired judgement of alcohol. It's a recipe for disaster. It's a good way to commit some kind of felony and not even know what the hell you're doing.
A good combo is acid and shrooms together. One time a I took 3 hits or orange sunshine acid and ate an eigth of shrooms, also smoked a bunch of blunts. I was just floating in tie dye land, just straight up zoning out, drooling, in another dimension. It turned into kind of a bummer and it became one of those harsh introspective rollercoaster rides. But it sure was groovy and elightening.
I need to do it again.

I agree. I have two family members killed by drunk drivers. Driving is serious. When I hear about people getting plastered and then driving it makes me mad sometimes because people innocent get killed everyday like that.
There are some drugs that don't affect driving ability though, like weed and stimulants. I used to drove stoned off weed all the time and if anything it made me drive even more carefully.

I just always find it annoying that people will get outraged at a drunk driver, but if someone who operates a vehicle so tired that they fall asleep smashes someone, its a "tragic accident." Neither one is an accident. Both drunk and tired drivers were consciously operating a vehicle in an imparied state they those chose. Pull over and sleep it off, or just pull over and sleep....

There is a woman at my gf's work who has some sleep disorder so bad that adderol doesnt even keep her awake. As dangerous as it is to drive and text,and it is, she has to it keeps her from falling asleep at the wheel.

I seen something on the news recently about new regulations disqualifying truck drivers who have sleep apnea and whose bmi is too high from being able to drive, evidently them falling asleep at the wheel is causing alot of wrecks.
