Title: Flat Tax (Sort of)

Heard a guy last night advocating sort of a flat tax.  He suggested all income up to a certain threshold ($30 or $40k) is exempt (i.e., no taxes) and there is a flat percentage paid on all income above the threshold.  I like it.

I prefer a National Sales Tax and no income tax whatsoever.
