I'm up late working and very bored. Here is a pic of me deadlifting 495 at a weight of 172lbs at Metroflex last year (I was on a road trip, and was very depleted/tired). I pulled a double at this weight too, but have no proof of that. Also, Metroflex was a last minute stop, hence the jeans.
Flame away.

The only thing I'd ''flame away'' at in this entire post is the part where you said ''flame away.''
I don't understand it. Why do you say it?

Good stuff bro

It's a classic Getbig insurance policy - saying "flame away" or "hate on" or words to that effect nullifies any potential slating from pictureless wonders who populate the site who have never thrown up any valid pictures or proofs of lifts of their own.
-
Great work and you look ripped.

Excellent lift by the way Rich2 - forgot to add that in my post above.
In fact, pound-for-pound that is one of the strongest lifts I've seen evidence of on here. 8)

Great lift.

Looks like those nuggers are about to ass rape you.

yeah- in the pic of him deadlifting he has his blank stare
seriously though, why "blank out" your face in a pic of you deadlifting a good amount of weight.
it's not like you're posting a pic of you sucking dick

I never understood why people blank out pics of their face on forums and stuff. Like, whats the harm that can happen exactly from showing your face?

Thanks dude! And Metroflex was AWESOME. I got there around 10pm and dudes were STILL doing walking lunges in the parking lot. And the girl Renee at the desk was super cool and let me work out for free when I told her I was on the road. The gym itself is pretty crazy and kind of cramped, but awesome. There were maybe 10 of us there at that hour, and about half of them were just visiting from out of state (I geeked out and was taking pics and talking to people).
And as for blocking out my face, its just my personal preference. I've come into issues with my likeness being on stuff or manipulated so I just don't bother with it. Also, my job is kind of in the public sphere but not BB related at all, so better safe than sorry.

Understood bro! To each their own.... but man if I was lifting that much weight at 172 I'd be posting my face everywhere LOL
I hope to make it out to Metroflex one day, just to try it out once! Heard its kinda dirty thou lol you see any pros? What about the Ron Coleman 200 lbs dumbells!
Again, nice job, that was awesome!

Nah, no pros unfortunately. I was actually there the weekend of the Arnold Classic so No Branch, Ronnie, etc. Plus it was kind of late in the evening. There were a couple of NPC heavyweights there tho, no one whose names I remember unfortunately. And yea, its MAAAD dirty HAHA. But dirty in the way that makes me want to lift heavy as hell. Its funny, because I associate the South with being really clean, as opposed to the NJ/NYC area where I'm from.

I've had some of my best work out in some really nasty broke down gyms! One place I used to train at, the tricep cable pull down went up to 400 lbs!!!
Sounds like you had a good time my man!

pics or it didn't happen.

Good weight, but lose the straps.

Hes training back not forearms

Good lift. Good to see you're not a permabulker like some of the "strongmen" on this board.
-
Good weight, but lose the straps.
Honestly, I wish I had that lift w/o the straps. I only use them when I go up to 405 and over. I'm only 5'7' tho, and my grip strength is really limited by the size of my hands. Some dudes that are just a little bit taller have HUGE hands. But I don't really want that either (huge hands that is).

Where is Metroflex? Or how far is it from the Stadium?

Its in Arlington, the main one anyway. I dunno how close it is to the stadium tho, probably less than 45 min.

When I was there, I was going to look for the gym but didn't want to get loss. i had no car and Arlington is so new to me. I think Collins was the major street. The2 times i was there were during the weekend of the Olympia and the NATIONALS so I couldn't call Ronnie!
-
Impressive bro. Do you train more for functional strength? Either way, you look pretty fucking lean.
-
deadlifting in jeans?

Yea man, I do train for a lot of functional strength, but I still train mainly like a BBer with a focus on size. I'm just strong on pulling exercises tho, especially deadlifts. Also, I'm a hard gainer, so it takes forever for me to put on significant weight. I'm just glad I don't look fat in clothes.
deadlifting in jeans?
I was on a roadtrip and hadn't packed gym clothes or planned on working out. Metroflex was really close tho, so I figured "why not".

Then don't post a good lift looking for compliments. True it is a solid amount of weight, but it is an assisted lift. No different than wearing a bench shirt or squat suit. I bet you are one of those guys that go around claiming some high squat number even though it is really only a partial rep on the smith machine.
Again Rich, great lift, good weight.

I don't squat and havent done a single in any lift in years. I dont care how much I lift but obviously try to get a little stronger each week. I don't powerlift, just bb type training. No need to get huffy. Guessing your a powerlifter yes?
-
huh?
Oops, my bad, bro. Good lift!

Because being seen on Getbig is embarassing.
