WASHINGTON -- Capitals center Eric Belanger really is putting his -- well, his employer's -- money where his mouth is after losing a half-dozen or so teeth in a run-in with an opponent's stick.
Belanger says Saturday he "felt my teeth shatter, right away," when Canadiens defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron's stick hit him in the mouth in the first period of Montreal's 2-1 victory at Washington in Game 5 of their playoff series Friday night.
Belanger needed some serious dental work at the arena, getting exposed tooth roots trimmed -- then returned to the ice midway through the third period.
Explains Belanger: "I knew I was in trouble, but what are you going to do? It's the playoffs."
He expects to play in Game 6 at Montreal on Monday.

When I was stationed in Iceland we had SkyOne as one of the feeds. I spent many drunken nights watching cricket and trying to figure it out.....never did, except everybody seemed to like drinking rum at the matches.

VERY simply put...what the video disen't say is that each team has 300 pitches (balls) to score as many runs as possible...the 300 pitches are divided into overs. 6 pitches = 1 over...so each team faces 50 overs.
each (pitcher)bowler is allowed a max of 10 overs or 60 pitchesthe rest is explained below

Hockey's a good sport it's just too expensive for most people. Rink time and the gear cost a bundle. It's something you have to be born into.

no mate thats just one day cricket...test cricket the match lasts five days, no limit on number of balls that can be bowled except you must get through at least ninety overs a day. the team which can bowl the other side out twice for the lowest score wins, its not that hard.

you dont ask someone to do calculus before they have mastered trig....
you gotta generate interest in the one day game first and them a small % of that population might be interested in learning about test cricket....
and even i will admit...other than the ashes...most test cricket is boring

ooooh major disagreement there...I prefer all test cricket to one day cricket. Just me tho, recent test series among a bunch of different countries have been nailbiting. One day i really couldnt care less if we win or lose by ten wickets

i live in America man....its hard enough to get to watch a regular 1 day here...let alone test cricket....
to generate interest in test cric...its GOTTA be on the radio and on the teli....so ya watch an hour in the morning...go to work but listen on the radio at work...and then wind down at the end of the day by watching again....
cant do that here in America
