I can but not as easy as you. Its one of the things I use for abs but its tough as hell

Never tried an ab wheel before so I kind of doubt it, would have to get acclimated to that exercise. Pretty impressive, is that you?

I'm gonna pick one up and see how quickly I fall on my face lololol. I stick primarily to leg lifts on the Swiss ball and hanging leg raises when I compete. Now that I'm 33 and tired of "bodybuilding" I really just want to diet down to around 10% and just be as healthy as possible. Gonna give this a try, looks great for core strength.

Somehow I think you'll take to it pretty quickly lol. From the pics you've posted you appear to have excellent core strength. Very impressive (no homo)

Apparently you are supposed to keep the back as rounded as possible.
-
Apparently you are supposed to keep the back as rounded as possible.
that's the point, it's "almost" impossible to keep it that way if you want full stretch and the full benefit of that move.
I can keep my back streight at best but not rounded, it still feels annoying to the spine :-\
-
lol at that movement and me.
-
Used to do hand walk outs and back again. Not that far tho.
-
Only on a sheet of ice and oiled up hands to make it fair.
-
Yes. I imagine your upper and middle abs get a heckuva workout.

Not many athletes or bodybuilders can do that feat. I was able to do it with one hand. I was a gymnast at UBC and McGill Universities.
-

how the fuck do you do an ab wheel with one hand? ::)
-
Not an abwheel but you put one hand out in front of you then press up so you clear the floor.
-
It is basically the Calisthenic way of doing the over the head cable crutches.
Fuckin hard to do more than (insert number to expose himself) 8)
I recommend, you will feel it in the morning fer sher. :D
-
I can do a couple of shaky ones, but it's not pretty.
Some ninja variations (one armed, wearing a weighted vest, etc) of it on this vid from Ross Enamait:
-
So you have never used it
ZZZZZZZZZZZINGGGGGG

I would like to do one standing this year. I did a max set of 16 reps kneeling, and my upper back gave up first.
-
I tried it.....My penis gets in the way

too bad you over studied philosophy only to become a spineless fat people worshiping f4ggot schmoe ####, ain't it.
-
what ? blowing a dude ?
-
I can do it. I can also do a lot a crazy yoga poses. Doing that kind of shit is true fitness, it goes beyond just having muscles to flex.
-

really just need to keep the pelvis tucked in, abs tight. It's possible, even with one arm and weight vests, see here at 3:45:
that video also has a lot of other exercises to try
-
I could do that without kneeling back when i first purchased that thing, which is quite a few years ago now.
Nowadays, i dont think i could, but i have been slacking with training for a few years now.
The Abeles Wheel is quite a strenous exercise though! Not everyone can.
-
Looking lean and mean there adam ;D

haha you beat me to the punch, ross is youtube's resident ab wheel master: he also posted some similar exercises with furniture movers that you guys might want to try:

The video is actually flipped 90 degrees counter-clockwise. There may or may not be a Glory Hole on the other side. Not telling.... 8)
-
My chiro would probably love for me to try that.....$$$ in his pocket.
-
David Paul (Barbarian Brother) does these daily. he is incredible with the ab wheel. He does them straight legged and goes ALL the way out and comes in and does reps.
-
I think I am going to try the partials first as shown on that video Shifted Shapes posted in order to get the motion down.
Keith, in your arm wrestling days, did you ever hear of anyone ending up with a hernia, tears in the abdominal wall from over straining? It seems one would have to have super strong abs to arm wrestle as I imagine you would tense then viciously during a match.

.
In his video list, there's video of his dad doing 100+ from knealing also.

Thats beyond impressive. This 71 year old is pwning Getbig right now and he doesn`t even know it.

I can totally do it. Would I do it regularly? No...I'd be too nervous about long-term injuries to my hips and rotator cuffs. Also, the lighter you are (I'm about 220), the easier it is to incorporate into a regular regimen. For me, it's pushing it.
