Bodybuilding:
A bunch of guys stuffing themselves with food and injecting themselves all day in a quest to get huge muscles.
Usually they are epicly insecure and self-conscious. And this drives them.
Their personalities are usually goofy as fuck and full of disorders, complexes and dysfuntions.
They usually walk around everywhere thinking they are the center of the universe. Everybody else is just a prop in a the movie of their life. They are the king of their own little world.
The gay for pay side of it is shocking, seedy and jaw dropping. Some of the stories are god damn hilarious.
The shmoes that support the industry are also hilarious with their pissant, submissive, muscle worshipping fetishes.
If I were a comedian I could make a skit or movie roasting the shit out of bodybuilding. Maybe I should?
I love weightlifting and all that. But when it's taken to the extreme levels it becomes a god damn freakshow.
And the thing that makes it the most funny is how deadly serious some poeple take it.
I'd love to see some comedian make a movie tearing apart bodybuilding.

This is a BB'ing forum. The internet is vast, if you like to suck dick there is most likely a forum for that. Pucker up.

thats the sacrifices athletes in this sport have to endure to excel

I agree. But it is funny!
Guys like Marcus Ruhl and Kai Greene seem to have a sense of humor about it and they are cool. But the vast majority of them are way too serious and egomaniacal.
-
you could say stuff like that about any sport, like swimming: a bunch of guys who shave their legs and wear speedos and break speed records despite being land animals

i think its because we live in a "more is better" society and those expectations push people to far

I agree. A comedian can make fun of anything.
But bodybuilding is a much easier target. I'm surprised nobody has done it yet.
There was Hanz and Franz. But that was just lightweight 3 minute skits.
Rob Snyder or Will Farrell should make an epic movie about it.

there's nothing funny about getting all muscled up, shaving all your body hair, sliding into your best glittery ball sling, applying just the right amount of baby oil and entering a muscle pageant
that's serious manly business my friends

I have hinted getbig TV in the past

I do train pretty seriously.
Training and weightlifting is cool. I just think the Pro BB side of it is funny.
When it gets into the competitions, the thongs, the massive amounts of gear, the synthol, the obsessive compulsive narcisism....when it gets to that point that's when it becomes a pure comedy freakshow.
Am I wrong?
-
Training is always positive.
Getting stronger (by normal, natural means) is always beneficial.
-
Nothing funny about these heroic looking specimens below. You don't think their sacrifices are worth the glory of looking like this?

It's because easy targets aren't funny. Nobody wants to pay money to watch someone make the exam same jokes they could do without any effort. What's the point of that?
Comedians are supposed to be 'more' funny than the average fuckface on the internet. Most times they aren't, but if they go after an easy target like bodybuilding, they most definitely aren't going to be funnier than the average fuckface on the internet. Funnier than you, of course, but you're not the average fuckface.
