those of us in arizona have to hear this crybaby behavior by those who protest about the new immigration law.
i think the border patrol should just go to the protests and throw a big net over them. this would save alot of driving around in the desert.

Even those of us who are against illegal immigration think it silly to enforce a law based on what someone looks like.
We can and should secure the US boarder. For example, try crossing the very long border around the infamous Area 51/Nellis AF base.

Haha yah I agree. I don't get what the big fuss is about the law. The people protesting make it sound like no Hispanic citizen will ever be able to leave their house without the po po shakin them down. They make it sound like it's gonna be Nazi Germany all over again.
I wish people would just admit the real reason behind the protest. It's about people who are US citizens that have family/friends who are illegals that don't want to see them deported. I think no one really gives a shit about having IDs checked if it means safer borders.

well if its a bad attempt then at least its a attempt at all. i for instance dont like going htrough 2 checkpoints in the middle of the freeway on my way to LA. when i drive through the line i waited in for over a hour, they simply look at me to see what i look like then wave me by. seems to me the profiling is and has always been in practice.

well buddy here is the problem with that rationale. firstly they arent the only ones who will do this work. secondly you can only have so many unskilled workers around before you have a overflow. now when you have to many unskilled workers around there becomes no work. thus alot of people filing for benefits such as welfare, unemployment ect. now instead of working and contributing it comes into a situation where they are taking away from it. and thats exactly whats happened now for many years.
now if these illegals had some skill and could be a doctor, or do a job that needs to be done such as healthcare workers, firefighters, ect, then id be all for allowing them over without having to be a citizen. but since many are unskilled and wont assimilate to the language then its pretty hard to accommodate them.

yep, being illegal or not is a legal question, not ethic moral etc, it's the law, your legal or not.

Second part. Yes they do, unfortunately Mexico depends heavily on tourism. It shouldn't be that. And the current and former President of Mexico should have done a way better job of courting corporations that went to China for cheap labor. I'm willing to bet the costs of shipping and manufacturing would be a lot cheaper due to Mexico just being across the border. But with the recent violent events, it seems that Mexico cannot insure a stable environment for businesses and corporations to exist. Lack of stability scares away businesses, and what is left are those great resorts and Volkswagen and other car manufacturing plants.
Also, those Mexicans who work in the travel resorts speak better English than the ones coming across the border---or should I say, they chose to speak English.
Example: you ask many (regardless of Latin country of origin): "You wanna get paid?"
The answer: "Si, seņor!"
They hit your car: "No habla Englis"
unfortunately games are being played on both sides. And American businesses play the biggest shell game. They have it set up so that they say, "Si habla Espanol", which is not to help the Latino community, but to help the business rake in more money. When you come here illegally, it's kinda like a "hand stuck in the cookie jar" type of thing. You come over breaking the law, so what other laws will you break. Th problem is that people want to color illegals as hard working people, and others want to color them as only criminals (you are a criminal if you break the law or are charged with a crime), when in fact the reality is that they are people.
And when you come from various places like El Salvador, Honduras, Guatamala, where they are war ravaged, and many are illiterate in their own language and look with suspicion towards learned people, you have another set of problems.

I personally have had only one personal experience that was somewhat related to this subject matter.
A few years back an older family member was somewhat destitute physically and financially and I did my best to offer some assistance and was told to discuss the matter with the local Social Security Office.
I made an appointment and showed up on time but it was still an hour late so I sat there watching all these non-speaking English foreigners filling out the paperwork which would give them financial assistance.
Eventually it was my turn up and I explained the situation to the 'case worker' only to discover that there would be no help coming from the Social Security Office for this sick bed-ridden lady who was born and raised in America.
I was about to sound off about all these foreigners getting financial assistance but she cut me off and said. "NEXT~" and the security guard helped me up and out.
In many cases we seem to be very dumb Americans and I was dumb enough not to go back and raise a lot of hell in that office and do my best to change their way of taking care of our own.
