I thought Strikeforce was the one that was unprofessional and embarrassing to the sport ???
-
Ehh- Koshecks phantom Hollywood pretend knee shot was almost as embarassing. I was pissed they didn't show the replay. Overall an awful fight to watch from start to finish.

The UFC kept the situation totally under control.
That is what SF was entirely unable to do.
You didn't see a bunch of thugs run into the octagon did you?
You are right...SF is the only org that has allowed a brawl inside the octagon on national tv.

Wasn't there a UFC fighter in that brawl?

No there was no UFC figher involved in that brawl. If there were he would have been reprimanded or punished.
Just because he was standing there supporting a winning teammate does not make him guilty.
Besides, UFC fighters generally have a lot more to lose then these wannabe, amateur, bush league types that fight in these second rate shows.

Actually Nate Diaz did throw some punches/kicks during the Strikeforce scuffle.

I only saw him defending himself and moving people out of the way.

LOL at 4 professional fighters, most of them champions, defending themselves from Miller ;D

That was still nothing compare to some boxing matches and the ring brawls afterwards..

Very true....but MMA is already misunderstood in it's relatively young existence compared to boxing.
Not really concerned though...Strikeforce really just made the UFC look that much better.

It does but neither can touch Pride!!!

I have to disagree.
When you own an entire company or entity, you can do more then just touch it. :o

You must be blind, if you rewatch the video you can see him clearly "gangster kicking" a balled up Jason Miller.

He was just trying to break up the fight. Clearly it was the UFC rejects that started this street style brawl.

Are you freaking retarded? As soon as the cameras cut back to the brawl from the initial shot of an empty arena, you can clearly see Nate Diaz throwing strikes, I counted 2 punches and 3 kicks on a turtled up Mayhem, who already had 2 guys on top of him. Who knows how many more strikes Nate threw before the cameras went back to the action, it looked as if he had just finshed throwing one when it cut to him but Im just counting the ones that were shown on live TV. I forgot gangster kicking people while theyre down is considered "trying to break up a fight". ::)

UFC rejects started this brawl. That IS an undeniable fact that needs no debate.

This statement right here is even more proof of your UFC blinders you have on, anyone having anything to do with the UFC is free from sin and can do no wrong and this needs no debate. The fact of the matter is he's under contract with the UFC, he's a TUF reality show winner, and he was caught on camera red handed clicking in a turtled up Jason Miller into to the Stockton crew son.

This was a brawl at a Strikeforce event caused by UFC rejects.
That has a nice ironic ring to it...doesn't it?
The UFC has nothing to do with this brawl.
If Nate Diaz was caught...why did he not get punished? What was he actually caught doing? Everyone sees things differently.
Nick Diaz was caught and was denied a fight.
Please explain that one.

Dana White appeared on Jim Rome and commented on Nate Diaz's involvement on the brawl and said he didn't condone it and had a long talk with Nate but wouldn't punish him, and why would he? he probably paid Nate for doing that. Nick Diaz already had a fight lined up in Japan against Mach and that's not affected, so to say Nick got denied a fight in the US is just a punishment on paper, he's still fighting, just not in the US. Nate Diaz was probably the most visble attacker in that brawl.

Chute talking Weight out at the knees yet again ala Fedor+ Gary Goodridge. ;D

Yea really had it under control. There was 4 to 5 people in the ring and one of them got in a cheap shot. You think they could have at least controled one guy. Maybe next time while you are blowing Dana for your tickets you can ask him to beef up the security. Jeez, they can't even handle one guy.

How many guys were involved in that thug-laden, street style brawl in Strikeforce :o
Case closed. Thanks for the help clarifying my points.

What are you talking about?
Shields is on his way to the UFC.

You need to brush up on your MMA a bit....
Shields didn't start anything. I never claimed he did.
Here is you MMA lesson of the day:
Miller ( a UFC reject) went into the octagon and confronted Shields. Miller set off this brawl. He was not authorized to be in that octagon.
Nick Diaz (a UFC reject) mobbed Miller (a UFC reject) and a thug-style street brawl began.
Let me know if you need further schooling.

Funny how you evade the facts that Daley was a punk in the ring and the UFC did not control him. Plus Koshek pulls some fake shit in the first round. Great reps you got there sweetie. ::) ::)
Oh and you got a President who gets beeped more than Eddie Murphy. If that isn't class that the UFC exudes I don't know what it is. Top notched guy running the show and a couple butthuggers sucking up on the internet. You gotta love it.

Daley did pull a Strikeforce thug-stlye punk move in the octagon and that is far as it went. He was cut within the hour. You saw no corner-clearing brawl like Strikeforce.
Call Dana what you like....but people like him. He has done more then just grow the UFC. He has grown the sport of MMA and had it sanctioned across the country and world so that small timers like Strikeforce can reap the benefits.
He was a finalist in TIME magazine for 100 most influential people in the world. Nothing more really needs to be said.
I am sorry you find his F-Bombs offensive. Maybe you can say a prayer for him on Sunday to make him stop :o

At 24 seconds of this video you can clearly see TUF season 5 winner and current UFC fighter Nate Diaz, as he is the first person to change levels and shoot for a takedown, then you can see him again at about 30 seconds as he is the one winding up and throwing haymakers and kicks at Miller. You left that part out, I guess your nutthuggery won't allow you to see that.
-
Not to jump into this spirited debate over which organization has the bigger clowns, but the shit Koscheck pulled in round one pissed me off to no end.
When James Irvin fought that italian dude Sakario or whatever his name is, he faked getting poked in the eye. The ref stopped the fight momenterily and gave him time to compose himself. Once it was shown on replay that he made it up, they gave Sakario the decision. Why wasn't the same thing done here with Daley, or when he did the same shit against Rumble? Maybe I missed something, but isn't faking an illegal blow to get a breather grounds for a DQ in itself? Like I said, maybe I missed something but I thought it was odd that nothing was done to Koscheck, but Irvin had the fight stopped.

All I see is a bunch of frustrated, down and out guys, that are hopping from one org to the next since their shit canning from the UFC, and dope smoking, medicated twinks, starting a brawl at a Strikeforce event.

Koscheck is suspect, but their was contact, although minimal. Hard to say it was a complete fake. Plus Koscheck claimed that it was his right eye that was hit. At least the point was not deducted in the end.
Daley also had all intentions of landing that knee. That is also a big reason they sided with Koscheck at first IMO.
Doesn't really matter though. He will need more then exaggerating to pull of a win over GSP.
-
Yeah, like the second coming of Christ or GSP getting poisoned right before he steps in the cage.

So then you realize the guy with the most thuggish behavior in that video is currently a UFC fighter?

When did the UFC re-sign Nick Diaz.....I haven't heard about that. I would check your source.
We can agree or disagree as to whom started or who was the biggest aggressor in this street style brawl.
One thing is undeniably evident....Strikeforce takes all the blame in the end!
Just ask NBC who they blame :o

who really gives a shit about a brawl on tv?
does it really matter? i dont think it makes mma look bad at all. if anything it adds ratings and entertainment

When a sport is new and stereo-typed as barbaric to the unknowing person....this type of thug-like behavior is detrimental to its growth.
This was also on free national TV. Many new uneducated fans were tuned in. It is also frustrating to real MMA fight organizations that invest a lot of money into the sport, only to have these amateur style, wannabe orgs mess everything up.
In all fairness, Strikeforce is destined to fail anyways....this just sped up the process a bit.
