(Via WND) NEW YORK – In her undergraduate thesis at Princeton, President Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court, Elena Kagan, lamented the decline of socialism in the country as “sad” for those who still hope to “change America.”
Titled “To the Final Conflict: Socialism in New York City, 1900-1933,” Kagan opined that infighting caused the decline of the early socialist movement. She asked why the “greatness” of socialism was not reemerging as a major political force.
…
The story is a sad but also a chastening one for those who, more than half a century after socialism’s decline, still wish to change America,” she wrote.
…
Her thesis was dedicated to her brother “whose involvement in radical causes led me to explore the history of American radicalism in the hope of clarifying my own political ideas.”

-
Oh great another person who hates America , and what it and the constitution stands for.
-
oh dear god, another *F gimmick........ ::) That's 3 so far, he must have epic plans ::)
-
Not me. I never had a gimmick.
-
this kagan candidate is going to be an amusing one! i haven't seen the news yet - what are the major beefs so far? not enough experience, and this senior thesis?
-
I am no gimmick, just an american that pays attention, and dont like what I see..
-
it is what is is, pro nitrus.
dems like a welfare state, and repubs like a war state.
Dems don't like to pay for it, and repubs usually don't fight in the wars they support.
And the middle-of-the-road voters keep changing their minds as to which they hate less.
it's the way it's always been, it's the way it'll always be. The moment you let one party take over completely, then everything would fall apart.
-
Do we know about her stance on general serious issues?
-
I wrote my MBA thesis on "socially responsible mutual funds" 120 pages of garbage..Some of those Socially responsible mutual funds own Walmart, Exxon, even Phillip morris. :o
-
LOL!
Yeah, my MBA thesis was on aetna, CIG and UNH...
I had to rank them as strong longterm investment, and essentially 'sell' them to the buyer with my analysis.
But it was that, or learn about state utility companies, and that option was too damn boring. If I was running for office (HA!), that thesis could be viewed as kneepadding to these companies.
-
she brought a ton of conservative professors onboard at harvard.
I heard today she has already shot down gay marriage (and she might be the deciding vote next year on the issue).
-
From 2005 to 2008, Ms. Kagan was a paid member of the Research Advisory Council of Goldman Sachs Global Markets Institute., according to financial-disclosure reports she filed after being appointed to her current job

Don't blame me for others sharing my ideologies. For what it's worth, I haven't had a gimmick since "Dan18s Forehead" when Ron gave me an ultimatum. It was that gimmick or this account. I may or may not have tried to make a few at some point but Ron never approves them, even when proxied. :'(
That said, acting like people don't change their beliefs from the time they're in college to the time they're 50 is foolish. I don't see the point in hanging an undergrad thesis around someone's neck.
So what are the other two accounts that you think I'm running?

What the hell are you talking about? The military is notorious for voting republican.Very few libs in the military at all.By the way, other then the last two wars Im not sure how many wars republicans got us into compared to democrats, but Id be willing to bet democrats got us into FAR more wars.
-
Republicans dont usually fight in the wars they support? What wars were those? The military is 98% republican.
What liberal ever supported a war since the country was founded, and what politician ever enlisted for any war while they were working in the legislature?
240 with more asinine generalizations that make zero sense.

I've been accused of running 3 dozen+ gimmicks over the years. Not one has turned out be true. :-*
